Cover from Ecm aesthetic :) I saw that you added the samples, I will definitely listen to them, but I also noticed that on his website there are three mp3s available for each album he has released, along with several live tracks. I will listen with confidence. The review? By now...

Mark Knopfler The Ragpicker's Dream
Voto:
Yes, it's true that it grows slowly and is probably Knopfler's most melancholic album, nothing more to add, I agree. I don't know why, but from what I've read, I have the impression that the recently released EP (Trawlerman's Song) captures these atmospheres.

Listening to prog, sometimes I’ve felt a heaviness, like a digestivo antonettto though. This album, however, didn’t weigh me down :) Dude, have you seen "Giant On The Box"?
Dire Straits Money For Nothing

I seem to remember that Knopfler didn't want to release this greatest hits collection. Perhaps at that time he had his mind elsewhere, in fact, the creation of the English/American group "The Notting Hillbillies" happened a couple of years later, if I’m not mistaken. There were some controversies with the record company regarding the choice of the title for the compilation; Knopfler ironically wanted something like "Contractual Obligation," but the compromise ended up being "Money for Nothing" (a double meaning?). It's a decent summary, nothing more. Claudio, I read that an EP of Knopfler has been released and I've heard good things about it; has anyone listened to it?
Chick Corea Return To Forever

Tenderly unsettling is a great definition, John, but I’m not sure I’d adopt it as my own. I remember other sensations even though I haven’t listened to him for a while either. And to think that Gary Burton is one of my reference points, partly for his elegance, partly for his ability to collaborate with so many different musicians. The works with Corea that I’ve listened to are splendid, but above all, I hold those dedicated to Piazzolla’s tango in high regard. Just for the record, Gary Burton is missing from the debaser database, John; maybe you or Grasshopper could fill the gap. Bye :)
