Chick Corea Rendezvous in New York

I know, I know, a splendid record that introduced me to a pianist friend and jazz lover. I fully share the "nightmare" :)) There should also be a review on the site for this record, if I remember correctly. And speaking of pianists... what if I say "Blue Note Orchestra"? Hi :)

I'm listening to it... but damn, the album is already hard to find... and you're only putting out a sample? ;)

I don't know how many have noticed the link that Google has placed on this page... www.nuoveidee.org/ladestra.html. I took a look at it, it’s ironic that it appeared in a review of Claudio Lolli, in a review like this. Anyway, for me this album is very beautiful, it contains some of Lolli's most successful songs. I also saw him live in a nearly homely setting, and I liked it very much. Honor also goes to Il parto delle nuvole pesanti who contributed to the realization of a not easy operation, but essentially successful.

In my opinion, you are the one who is stirring up a senseless controversy by personalizing it, shifting the focus of the discussion from Cammariere to voiceface and hal. Things are much more straightforward. What happened? You reviewed an album, you included it in a forum open to other people's opinions, you like it and you stated why, I like it less and I explained why, but it seems you cannot accept that. Unfortunately, it happens. On this site, enthusiasts compare their opinions, nothing more. Often they are different, sometimes they coincide. Sometimes we dive deeper, other times we don’t. Sometimes friendships form, records are exchanged, tips are shared, other times not. This time we have differing opinions; another time it could be different. Fegiz Oliva and his band have nothing to do with this (that’s just nonsense). And by the way, if you're interested in getting a copy of the EP "tempo perduto," send me a private message and we can arrange it; it should no longer be available in stores. It's better to share than to argue like this. Bye (for the record, I removed Cammariere and put on Miles Davis).

I wasn't wrong to say that yours were not opinions, but prejudices. You talk too much nonsense for my taste. Just to let you know, I have both of Cammariere's albums and the EP "tempo perduto" that preceded the release of the first one (do you know it?). I'm listening to the second one right now. I dug it out just to see if the impressions from past listens align with the current ones, since my only certainty is doubt, and I believe one can always change their mind. For now, however, no thrills, quite the opposite. If you want, later I can share some samples with you. Post scriptum: I don't like mp3s. Regards.

To me, it seems that you have read my comments very superficially and that you continue to respond not on the merits but based on some prejudices that I care little about. Yes, the piece is called "tempo perduto"; it's truly unforgivable to overlook the title. Sorry if I went from memory, but it hardly changes anything because you continue to say nothing of substance regarding my points. The artist himself doesn’t get on my nerves as you write (please don’t make things up), I also said he’s very charming in person (but can you read?), and I acknowledged that he’s not a bluff and that he’s an interesting pianist, though not transcendent. I referred to this work as bland; sorry if it doesn’t appeal to me. The gift wrap was a metaphor referring to the production of this album, good indeed, but the content of the album is not equally good. I repeat, for me this is a record that is just above mediocre, bland in fact (two and a half stars), where a bit of craft emerges and nothing more. Do you like it? Good, I don’t like it that much. Some lyrics are then pathetic if we want to be honest. The previous album was IMHO a better, more thought-out, better-constructed, and better-structured work. "Tempo perduto" is a nice piece, a pleasant song, but the masterpieces for me are others. "Take Five" is a masterpiece, for example, since you need to know what my parameters are. Regards.

Do you really think I haven't spoken about the relationship between Cammariere and the piano? Well... The reference to Jarrett – as far as I'm concerned – is merely incidental; otherwise, I have talked only about Cammariere, this album, and the previous one, just sharing my opinion. In summary: good, yes, but let's not exaggerate; the first album is good, the second one is bland. I would have appreciated a different feedback on the merits, which has never arrived except in this form that I don't understand.
