Terje Rypdal If Mountains Could Sing

The title of the album is beautiful, like the cover, but it's not a big surprise at ECM. It's the kind of album that could really interest me, thx.

Frantz reopened a wound at the concert in the auditorium of Rome. Who knows if there will be another opportunity. Returning to Jarrett and the subsequent comments, I think it's fair to raise elements of doubt; after all, comments serve this purpose as well. John raises some, and for example, the skepticism regarding the classical Jarrett seems valid to me. It is true that "The melody at night with you" is less impactful than other works; I still adore it and believe it should be framed within that particular period of Jarrett’s life characterized by the difficulties due to his illness. I’ll close by leaving you a link to a piece titled Solitudini written on a blog. It’s a remarkable concise analysis of Jarrett’s solo piano work: roundaboutmidnight - Articoli e post su roundaboutmidnight trovati nei migliori blog (watch out for the spaces)

Cristiano is an excellent multi-instrumentalist, true, but the weight of the name he carries must be really exhausting.

I subscribe to kosmo, it’s a nice read. I didn’t know anything about this musician, the review informs, gives the coordinates, but at the same time tells a good point of view. "A childish, hysterical Cat Power..." makes you want to listen to her. Who will be the first to find the record and share it? ;)

You touch sensitive chords, Mullah, but you do it with personality and effectively highlight your love for this wonderful album, as many of Jarrett's works do. I also find it exaggerated to say that Köln miserably disappears in front of this... if only all miseries were like this... Rather, I think that instead of trying to establish a hierarchy among his solo piano concerts, it might be better to look for a common thread. The concerts are not so isolated and monolithic. It would be interesting to hear those that haven’t been published, like the one in Bern that came after Köln. Jarrett has embarked on a journey that is not yet complete, as evidenced by the beautiful (for me) Radiance, which also shows new ways of creating music. Furthermore, there has been much praise for last year’s concert at the Auditorium in Rome that will eventually be released.

"They leave imperceptible traces, the trajectories of hot air balloons..." A splendid album in my opinion. Each song is a little jewel of music and poetry, it’s a shame that in Italy it isn’t as appreciated as it is in France. By the way, the cover of the first French release of this CD was much more beautiful and meaningful than this one, with that hot air balloon in the foreground. A few words also about Gianmaria Testa as a person; I think he is a wonderful man, sociable, down-to-earth, witty, and ironic. I exchanged a few words with him a year ago after one of his concerts and he told us the story of his guitar, when he bought it and how many concerts he has done with it. You should have seen how he looked at and caressed it while he enchanted us and made us smile with his memories.

The joke he made is incredible, it must have been a great evening, I would have loved to see it too because I consider his son Paolo a great musician.
