Keith Jarrett Concerto @ Teatro Alla Scala Milano 14.10.07

About Jarrett's reactions, one could write a book, and probably reading it would make it hard to avoid judging the pianist negatively; most might exclaim, "Can you believe that jerk..." with what follows. When I saw him in a trio a few years ago, right in the middle of a solo, he interrupted the concert for photos, exclaiming to the audience something along the lines of "no photos, do you understand or should I draw you a picture?" with an arrogant tone somewhere between a bellicose conductor and a prime-time John McEnroe... unfortunately, he plays like a god, so we can never truly take it out on him. So, I express all my envy for the concert you attended.

beautiful memento review, I’ll add it to the recommended list. As for the album, I must say that after the first hesitant listens, it captured me. It grows slowly; for me, it’s a good work even if I still don’t know how to place it in Wyatt’s history, but perhaps it’s too early to say. Bye
