Pat Metheny Group Still Life (Talking)

Well... I don't completely agree with this opinion, as Metheny's ECM period is certainly noteworthy at various points. Perhaps the period following this album seems a bit inferior to me, but with "The Way Up," there has been a nice revival that I believe will lead to positive developments in the coming years.
Frank Sinatra My Way - The Best Of Frank Sinatra

A classic that in this context becomes an original choice. A beautiful proposal indeed. I don’t have this album, but I can still vote for it because scrolling through the tracklist, I recognize a lot of beautiful songs. Among them, one of my favorites is "I've got you under my skin," perhaps because I love that naive love that oozes from Cole Porter's songs.

Not everything is clear to me, but it doesn't matter much. Reading makes you want to know more, to fill in the gaps. Then I also liked the reference to Rai Stereo Notte... nice memories.

Simply wonderful record, a blue velvet cloth like the night, warm and enveloping with an incredible intimacy for a live album.
Tori Amos Little Earthquakes

Well... but the nickname seems to reference the title of a song by Tori Amos from the album "Boys For Pele," so it doesn’t seem all that out of place to me.

Great album... I remember that Metheny played some tracks from this album live on the Arbore and Telesforo show D.o.c. (always missed). Those afternoons were truly enriching... Back then, I listened to it a lot; it felt like a kind of 'world jazz' with all those different sounds together. Then I confess that over time I got a bit tired of these sounds, while I must say that some ECM works have never had the same effect on me. Hi. P.S. The album attribution should be changed to "Pat Metheny Group."

Dear Lato b, I have little to say about "wavelength" since on April 5th I calmly spoke about "points of view"; perhaps the two faces of the prism were already facing the same direction, one just had to look beside. This could be called a peaceful fact, after all. But it needed to be acknowledged. As for the rest, it's merely a matter of different approaches. It's not about transmuting into another soul, but rather questioning your own. Grasping feedback is an interpretative activity, so like all interpretations it's risky and often flawed, but it starts from oneself. Yet, while it's true that trying doesn't guarantee success, it's equally certain that not trying at all (assuming it's impossible) is an automatic decision not to succeed. Different approaches, different results, that's all. Hence, I do not have a rigid rule when I read a review or something else. Sometimes it resonates with my sensitivity, other times it doesn't, and sometimes it could, given that I'm not so certain about what should resonate with me, considering the possibility of changing my mind. Also, if I were certain of what always tickles my fancy and what doesn't, then everything would be really boring, and you already know how I feel about boredom. Bye.
