The samples throw me off because they give me the impression that they belong to different albums, each a different genre, curious :))
Billy Cobham Crosswinds

What I like about Billy Cobham is that he is not complacent and continues to play with the same energy as when he was young. Timely review, bien.
Charlie Chaplin City Lights

very good at evoking Chaplin's poeticism. I don't know if anyone else has found his films hypnotic in the sense that once you start watching them, it’s impossible to look away until the end. Among all, I personally love a film not exempt from criticism by many, Monsieur Verdoux. There’s a scene... a scene of everyday cruelty that I believe is one of the most beautiful in the history of cinema. A window indicates that we have moved from night to morning, something has happened, Monsieur Verdoux goes to the kitchen, takes two cups for breakfast, then realizes that one is too many and puts it back. Chilling is the coldness of the amateur of murder, as he will define himself in the final monologue of the film... I don’t think I will ever tire of watching Chaplin... well, I’m rambling, thank you for this review.
Charlie Parker The Complete Dial Sessions

another void filled perfectly, I really enjoyed this review both for the enthusiasm and for the images used to talk about Parker, of whom I have several live CDs (plus some from Verve if I remember correctly) that, although they don't sound great, perfectly convey the overwhelming power of his music. I rate that one without having the records you suggest yet.

Welcome back, symbad, I missed some jazz tips and during this time I was leaning towards other music. Thank goodness you’re here to get me back on track. Do you know Falling in Love Again with Joe Doggs? I can't remember if I sent it to you or not. Bye!

Sonny Rollins The Bridge

Our Grasshopper is very good, but that's not news. The news is reading here a (very beautiful) page dedicated to the colossal Sonny Rollins, who we have neglected for too long. I associate two episodes with the name Rollins. The listening and discovery of the wonderful "tenor madness" with the rustic duel with Coltrane, one of the most beautiful and intense things in jazz for me, and the concert I saw in 1988, one of the most beautiful and exciting I have ever seen in a packed arena with incredible enthusiasm. Our man is still playing around the world, and I would love to see him again. Bye.
