Assassin The Upcoming Terror

Hey, too much grace Bartle, but this review isn't that great, maybe except for the ending.

Start with this and then continue with "Shotgun Justice", in my opinion they are the best. Thanks for your comment :DDD

Great review, I’ll write a more detailed comment this evening at my leisure; it’s an album that I enjoy listening to but could have been a masterpiece with a singer who had a more versatile voice and with a few more tweaks in the production. That said, it remains a mysterious object to be continuously rediscovered without pause.

I agree with ocram, this album is a decent debut but, aside from a few moments, it doesn't hit as hard as it should. One idea would be to re-record it with the lineup from "Coma Of Souls" and the production of Randy Burns and see how the songs turn out. After all, even Anthrax re-recorded "Fistful Of Metal" with Belladonna on vocals. The review is decent, but a bit too enthusiastic: I would reserve the enthusiasm for other masterpieces of German thrash, like "Dreamweaver" or "Raging Steel". Hi everyone.

@tepes it seems that you also know the Assassin:DDDD, in fact now I'm going to listen to all the Immolation albums, after reading an interview on www.metalitaia.com with Vigna and Dolan. The differences between "Coma Of Souls" and "Extreme Aggression" of the album are significant: there's Frank and that doesn't seem little to me, plus the production feels dirtier as well. @Bartleboom I nostalgically endorse your comment, I hope to see a review of Sodom soon:DDD
Sabbat History Of A Time To Come

@Bartleboom: "Great recovery! This record is a blast! Rarely have I heard something so uncompromising in the thrash scene! PS: 'Nothing to gain' is not bad... slightly more evolved than the earlier stuff... awful production, but I've heard worse! Good review." This is an old comment of yours where you used the word "blast," and I agree with you: "Serial Killer" indeed starts with a blast:DDDD
Morbid Angel Formulas Fatal To The Flesh

I don't like the new singer-bassist and the three-piece lineup, and there's still a song from the demo "Aboinations..", the infamous "Hellspawn". The compositional value has dropped dramatically, and even the "craft" isn't working well. I agree with the review; it's a solid takedown.
Morbid Angel Covenant

The production is horrible; probably with Dig or Tom Morris or Scott Burns, it would have turned out better. However, it’s also true that Flemming Rasmussen might have invented a new way—especially the sound of the double bass that resembles a caterpillar. You miss Richard Brunelle, but for the compositional value, the album is a 4; for the production, a 2. Therefore, the final rating becomes a 3.
