Just yesterday, I listened to the cover of "Thunder & Lightning" by Gothic Slam, and it reminded me of John Sykes, undoubtedly a great guitarist and also a good singer (he has stated that he is inspired by Glenn Hughes). In this album, he shines, but it's not just him who stands out; we also have a charismatic voice and an excellent rhythm section, in short, a top-notch record. The review is excellent and analyzes the band from all perspectives. Well done, fenni! Until next time: DDD

I’ll hop on the other downloads: the review is excellent! I’ve never listened to this band, but I remember something about a tour called "Gods Of Grind"... but I could be remembering it wrong.

I've never delved too deeply into them, but I find two songs absolutely stunning: "Black Metal" and "Sacrifice."

The origin of the saying "Son of a whore" is an extension of m.ignota that was read on the records for foundlings, then the Romans diluted it with "whore" but it still works well:DDD.

Blind Illusion The Sane Asylum

The review is perfect and analyzes all the peculiarities of this group. The band's story resembles that of Zoetrope in terms of evolution, but the Blind Illusion are monsters of technique while the Chicago band is not, even though on their second album "A Life Of Crime" they really put in the effort. The album is truly varied and doesn't adopt academic speed and double bass patterns or even regular riffs; the group used thrash as a "palette" to then execute their instrumental excursions with skill, even if, perhaps, after so many years (and various mutations) the songs couldn't have been developed any other way than they appear on the album. So, an incredible band even though Biedermann has vanished from circulation, Mike Minner has done the same; a second album was planned that is still unreleased, where Biedermann had gathered other musicians for this project. On YouTube, there are some great videos to see how these 4 musicians were also great live. Good job, Fenni, excellent choice and great band. Until next time :DD

Besides being an esteemed reviewer, you are also a great person, especially discreet, never intrusive, and always well-informed. That's why I always read your reviews with pleasure, and I must say regarding the Vikings' "Man Of Straw" that you are right: it's not bad at all. It was about time for Ron to change his life... some time ago, before the Mule entered my life, both CDs were available for free download on a site that I can no longer find (it was just out of curiosity). I've never understood the meaning of the cover, and I hope that when you have a moment, you'll be able to explain it to me. Thank you also for how you respond to my comments. Until the next comment!

A backbeat disco, mostly due to the production, but let's hope Marco comes back!
