Riz Ortolani Cannibal Holocaust O.S.T.

Before the discussion spirals out of control, STOP any discussion about the movie. Let’s talk about the soundtrack, pliz. And to think I mentioned it multiple times in the review. Dear World SBK Fan, do you see that next to Cannibal Holocaust it says "O.S.T."? It stands for "Original Sound Track." Let’s talk about that, NOT the film. For that, there’s Happypippo’s review, as I have already stated.

Oh, what exaggerations! :-D Thanks to everyone for the comments and for your patience in reading. @Woody: I listen to a lot of metal, you know, almost every kind, except black. But I think this is one of the most representative soundtracks of all time. Trust me.

(I'll pick up the comment above) g is a farce, it's all fake. As for boxing, Nicolò has already answered you. <Between ignorance and violence, the concept of family among Americans is simply wonderful: of course, good feelings are never lacking, and even if they are fake and packaged,> is Silvio Muccino American? GET INFORMED! Sorry for the harshness but really, before saying such bullshit... I even went to check out the review of Hostel, out of curiosity. Here’s your comment: <The most violent, gratuitous, and ridiculous film in the history of cinema.> Well, THIS is called ignorance. If Hostel is the most violent film in the history of cinema, I am Rocco Siffredi (P.S. He knows how to make films!). You judge things you know little or nothing about, and you even dare to give a reprimand. Come on...

My God... Adriano, do you ever read your posts again? Do you notice how much crap you spout? Sorry, let's start. <Either they're stupid comedies or they're violent films: do I need to name them? Schwarzenegger? Rambo? So where does the stereotype and the idea of the muscular, superior white man come from? The Hulk? Who does it come from?> The first stupid comedies or sexy comedies were made by us in the '70s. The idea of the muscular, superior white man goes back to the 16th century, after the discovery of America. Not the indigenous people, but the Americans. <And what do we do with Mel Gibson's films? Lethal Weapon? Lethal Weapon one, two, three, four, six hundred. And down come punches and nonsense, punches and nonsense, tons of "masculine virility" idiocy, blood, bombs, sex. And The Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson? And Apocalypto? But this is just a character: Schwarzenegger, while also a comedy context, always sends the same message: violence, ignorance, and superficiality.> 1) Have you ever seen "Luca il contrabbandiere," you who judge Lethal Weapon? An Italian film. 2) If you say there’s no message behind Gibson's Passion, however debatable, it means you watched that film from BEHIND the TV. Same goes for Apocalypto, even though I agree it’s awful. We were already throwing punches and nonsense in the late '60s with Bud Spencer & Terence Hill. <What factors can explain this syndrome? The obvious answers: mass media and violent films, computer games, the problems of families torn apart by divorces and… Marilyn Manson, whose interview with Moore is nothing short of disarming. But why do other countries with the same issues not reach American violent records, with over 11,000 violent deaths a year compared to 68 in the UK and 165 in Canada?"> Marilyn Manson might be a huge jerk, but to blame him for the Columbine massacre... your way of seeing this is nothing more than ---> the church, which spreads its bigoted mentality "no abortion, no condoms," while there are hundreds of priests accused of pedophilia...> Bigotry and moralism at unbearable levels. Should we continue? <I haven't seen the two Italian films you mentioned, but usually Italians put some reasoning behind the violence, often a theory or a denunciation (just like great American directors, see Kubrick; A Clockwork Orange is violent but serves as a denunciation of a crazy society).> And do you really think that Saw, hated or loved, however controversial, isn’t a form of denunciation? What’s your concept of "denunciation"? Hostel is a separate case, Saw IS NOT. And it’s not true at all that we always put critical messages behind our violence; the prime example is given by mondo movies (still in the '60s!) and all the epigones of the great Cannibal Holocaust. <Mothers drowning their children, cigarettes, prohibition, violence, ignorance, PlayStation. Ah... I almost forgot the PlayStation, where does it come from? USA.> 1) The episodes you cited encapsulate a much larger and terrible word: depression. This nonsense of "emulating the USA" is completely pathetic, and quite presumptuous. 2) You already know where the PlayStation comes from. <And GTA, where you are a criminal who goes down the street and can choose any weapon: gun, machine gun, tank, helicopter, baseball bat, knife, sword, etc... kick an old lady until she groans and spits blood, cut passersby in half with a chainsaw, blow up cars, planes, helicopters, steal cars and make them crash.> This is a model of play that has existed for twenty years. And, even if it’s not in the form of a video game, it has existed for millennia. Like in Sparta: Spartan training included, once a year, a special "hunt for the helots," i.e., the subjugated slaves, which could happen with any kind of knife, at night. Same thing in the Wild West between whites and Indians. <And wrestling? Boxing?> I won’t even respond to those. Wrestling is a joke, it’s all fake; boxing has already been answered by Nicolò. <Between ignorance and

I also recommend "We Are Him," the latest album by Angels Of Light, aka Michael Gira, one half of the Swans. A kind of """"""pop"""""" songwriting that's very dark and dreamlike. However, I don't have this for you.
