Pretty nice, without exaggerating... "Villa Del Refugio" is an excellent ambient drone, worthy of Stars Of The Lid, "A Three-Legged Workhorse" is the classic post-rock ride (in some moments it reminded me of "The Birth And Death Of The Day" by Explosions In The Sky, from their last album "All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone"), "The Might Rio Grande" is a beautiful guitar immersion. I would say 3.5!

A blessed fuck. These guys might be good with their instruments but they hardly communicate anything. An endless series of technicalities, solos and counter-solos, sound deconstructions that are self-serving, a continuous and irritating display of virtuosity. Alright, it's difficult to play, it certainly is, but when you get it you just want to say: "...and now?". And now nothing: behind the technique, nothing! There’s no emotion, no passion. Just empty ambition. Beautiful anyway "Excessit". 2.5

Really, very very beautiful... paloz, a question: if I download it from any p2p program, which version am I going to end up with? I read, in the English description of the video you linked, that it runs differently every time... so?

Short and incisive, almost dada. Very good! And I repeat: Mr. Record. The reason why you can read in the other review.

Bought the original yesterday: really great album. "Antropophagus" is my favorite (I mean, sorry, but the final quote from the soundtrack of "Cannibal Holocaust" is just too spot on!), but "Baudelaire" (cultured and refined, with lyrics that would make anyone pale), "L" (classic pop ballad), "Alfredo" (moving), and "Ethiopia" are also really beautiful. The only flaw, perhaps, is lowering the guitars in favor of a more mature and elaborate writing style. A tip for those who criticize it after listening to the single (which isn't much): listen to the whole album, then we can talk! ;)

"Swaying Eel" is the track of the year behind "Atlas" by Battles, from the 6' mark onward when the arpeggio kicks in, not even a gunshot to the belly could stop it. Too, too, too beautiful. And "Flux" by Encre is great too (same little guy, with a different pseudonym, right?). Thanks Trell for the double tip.

A nice exercise in style. It grabs you in the first five/six listens, then it falls apart. 3.5 like Fest

Stunning exercise in arid southern metal to the umpteenth degree. "On March The Saints" above all.

Nice one, stratospheric "Food In A Belly", I’ll jot down a few lines very soon. Forget Devendra Banhart (who I do like, but Xavier is from another planet).
