And I repeat (and I emphasize) that it did not give me great joy to write these criticisms towards Christ Illusion. I say this because I really like the band, and quite a lot. Or rather: I used to enjoy them a lot until Diabolus In Musica. Then, as it happens to everyone, they experienced a slow and relentless decline. The criticisms I made seem more than correct and just. Bartle, I look forward to your response.

Alright Bartle, I've said my fair share of nonsense about Slayer too, but please don’t tell me, I beg you don’t tell me, that this is a good album. You might as well say that I’m Rocco Siffredi. "Cult," which if I’m not mistaken was chosen as the first single, has a sound heavier than Giuliano Ferrara and a vomitous lyric, where they call religion a whore and then pretend they've made their choice (satanism). "Skeleton Christ" is the song that honestly left me the most perplexed throughout the whole album. The only ones that seem decent to me, as I mentioned above, are "Jihad" and "Flesh Storm." Bartleboom: don’t insist on defending Slayer even when they have run out of ideas, spouting their three bullshit lines about religion, and allowing themselves to offend the good taste of Catholics by depicting Jesus Christ with severed limbs floating in a sea of heads. Please. Transgression is fine, but it shouldn’t go so far that it sinks into absolute blasphemy. I found very few aspects of this album worth praising: compared to Reign In Blood and Divine Intervention, this album doesn’t even seem to have come from the twisted minds of the four. Fine, you want to say they're now a milestone of metal and all that... but don’t come tell me this is a good album. Is it a good album because of the hyperblast beat delivered by Lombardo? Is it a good album because it mirrors the aggression (which is rather pathetic by now) of Slayer? Please, let’s not fall for it, as the good Mike would say.

And wait... does "Jihad" mimic SOAD? Yes, you're right. Just like Money mimics the Beach Boys and Like A Virgin mimics Metallica. But please...

Compared to Reign In Blood and Divine Intervention, this album is literally an ABORTION. Let's start with the cover. Okay, Slayer have always wanted to play the bad satanic scene with a touch of Nazism (real clever, huh) but this time they've gone too far. What did they want to prove? That at 45 they are still the best of the best and that they couldn’t care less about Christianity? Pathetic, really. The musical aspect: in my opinion, only "Jihad" is worth saving. The rest is pure crap. And I say this with regret because I really like the band. The review, besides adding nothing new to the others, is also quite bad. What the hell did you explain about this album? I mean, there's not much to say, but... Requiem.

Holy shit, the chills I have... great review on an artist who... well, never mind. They wouldn't even deserve a one.

But what the hell are you saying? What the damn hell are you saying? Can't you hear those fucking solos Duncan James pulls off using his own ass? Or the wonderful vocal harmonies Lee Ryan manages to create through karaoke? And now tell me that Simon Webbe has no class. If he learned to be a snob from none other than Den Harrow! And what about Anthony Costa? A guy with such a tough childhood, getting up close and personal with booze and dockworkers; he's got a toughness all his own! And fuck the haters. And fuck those who say the Blue are self-proclaimed fags. But you haven't understood a damn thing! Self-proclaimed fags! What kind of insult is that? You need to step it up, guys! These are common insults, the kind that flies between Sgarbi and the Trio Medusa! With these, you can even resort to blasphemy if necessary, for fuck's sake!

Well Morpheo, ungrammatical doesn’t just mean lacking syntax, but also lacking capital letters and punctuation marks. Anyway, come on, it’s true, I was too harsh; I’ll make it an average.

Oh my goodness, how far the Italian music scene has fallen.
