I think that an "adult musically," meaning a person who has surpassed the age of 16/17, cannot objectively judge an album like this. Just as they can't judge Britney Spears, Beyoncé (or however you spell it), or Blue, or much else. I too have made this mistake in the past, but what can you do? You start to appreciate music in all its technicalities as the years go by. Some at 18, some at 14, some at 40. I started listening to Metallica :)))) now I don’t belittle them because it’s only thanks to them that I got closer to Music with a capital M, but there’s much better out there. I haven’t listened to the album in question carefully, but my ex-best friend dubbed the previous one for me a few years ago, and I literally wore it out. Does that work as a response?
