No wait, I said that apart from the subjective aspect, which is a duty, Metallica are technically, TECHNICALLY (and aside from fantasy, it’s an important thing to consider because you can't just look at one of these!) mediocre musicians! Any other band I mentioned earlier, which might not have invented a genre or anything, is better than Metallica. But you might say, "But they invented a genre," and I would say, "Sure, but there are those who managed to improve it." If you understood me well, if you don't want to understand, that's worse for you. I'm trying to be as clear and polite as possible.

So wait. I was referring to their techniques. As innovations, there's nothing to say, but as a technique, there's quite a bit to criticize, especially because it's not possible for such an innovative group (and I'm not saying this sarcastically) to be manipulated by MTV after five albums. Many others haven’t done it, and if they hadn't, maybe they would have become musicians more than mediocre by now.

Two things I absolutely disagree with. I adore them, but objectively they are not the quintessential metal band; still, they are a thrash band... tHrash is rubbish), they have little to teach other bands (Blind Guardian? Virgin Steel? Domine?), Metallica rarely play fast, and I would give this album a 5. I know it sounds contradictory, but it is very varied.
