But this album is not inaccessible at all; when it comes to fusion, I find the Soft Machine's Third or Miles' Bitches Brew much more challenging.

Notable the review, I've always considered the album a bit of the younger brother of Atom Heart Mother, which I personally prefer much more, and it's undeniable that their structures are quite similar: a long suite, an experimental piece, and an interlude of more traditional songs. In Atom, however, everything is expressed better in my opinion: Echoes is a summation of Floydian psychedelia smoothed of all its roughness, it flows impeccably and centered, while Atom is devoted to hyperbole and exaggeration... just the song Summer68 is worth more to me than all the minor tracks from Meddle, while between "one of these days" and "alan..." I'm undecided, maybe both are a bit charming...

Nice review, this is the only Pink Floyd album that I don't know completely besides The Division Bells.

For me, Supper's Ready and The Musical Box are the greatest masterpieces by Genesis; nonetheless, this album and Nursery Cryme are my favorites... I find Selling England by the Pound to be a bit inferior in terms of inventiveness, while The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is somewhat too wordy... your review is very technical; it’s clear you have a "direct" knowledge of music. I hadn’t really noticed the weak keyboards at the end of Supper.
