I agree with Lordhenry, but it's not enough to take away a vote from a review that is truly written from the heart.

Yes, I noticed her, the new nurse... in fact, think about it, I'll tell you more: she even made it stand up a little. Just a little bit, but it's been years since it showed any signs of life and I was surprised. I’ll gladly pass you the broth, but I warn you that here at Villa Arzilla it’s pretty disgusting.

I’m calling from the nursing home "Villa Arzilla" and I’m roughly the same age as the old man who sent the previous post. First of all, a bit of respect for the elderly, and also for Stipe & company. I know that they’ve become even worse than ā€œcanonizedā€: over the years they’ve also somewhat bent to the Market. But here they were still in their rags, and they were excellent rags, not tatters. But tatters sound more "maudit."

Not to defend Enkriko, who doesn't need it, and with whom I’m having a nice discussion about Piero Ciampi, Guccini, and De André, but I suppose his BASTA refers to the fact that we are already at the FOURTH review of this blessed album.

Errata corrige: closing parenthesis after "maudit"

No, when we talk about "sacred monsters" that make you want to vomit or that have swallowed a funnel, there's no risk of lynching, at least on my part because I am a pacifist and non-violent, a Gandhian and libertarian as well as a conscientious objector, and also because lynching via the Internet is not feasible. However, I believe one exposes themselves intentionally (this too is a very "maudit" attitude) to subsequent comments like "What the hell are you talking about?"

It seems to me that you have a somewhat nineteenth-century concept of the artist, who has to be a poor, miserable, and misunderstood figure. The fact that De André and Guccini sold lots of records doesn’t automatically label them as prostitutes to the Market. There are various episodes in their biographies that show how little they cared about the number of records sold: the truth is that they were (or rather, they are—Guccini is still alive, even though a bit tired) so talented that they sold anyway. But this is not a crime.

Alright, then, if you like it so much, keep throwing buckets of crap on what has been the best of singer-songwriter music in the last forty years... Who knows, maybe this too is "fa maudit"! I would prefer to be a bit more open to what has had some success. Niche, because still, the listener of De André and Guccini is immediately identified as "left-wing", no doubts about it, even if the record is given away by the weekly of the Great Nano Televisivo...

Here: you hit the nail on the head, odradek. There is only one thing that stands out in this review: the absolutism of the judgments against those who are not "maudit" enough. This seems, furthermore, to contradict the anarchic nature of the reviewer (assuming that what the "fan" Miss D.Velta says is true). Anarchists, at least the ones I know and appreciate, are much less dualistic.
Tom Waits Real gone
Voto:
Fourth review of "Real Gone" by Tom Waits... Almost a record. I usually am strict with those who add reviews to existing ones, but in this case, it seems worthwhile, because this truly adds something to what was already there. Doesn't it even seem like a different Testaverde from that "telegram" on Branduardi?
