alessioIRIDE I also wrote that for me they are post-hc...and anyway I'm not following the trend, for me emo is ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY music, let that be clear.

Look, peggiopunx, download these two songs, When The Sun Sleeps and Young And Aspiring... I’m sorry to mention only two because there are so many other great ones... anyway, listen to them (without prejudice, :)) and let me know as soon as possible!

if you think UNDEROATH is just a little emo band that doesn't matter, you can go back to listening to your punk and leave the emo to those who actually appreciate it. It's just a friendly tip, really =)
p.s: I love Fugazi, but that doesn't mean I have to trash today’s high-level emo bands..

Anyway, Tobby, the song is called Brianstorm... the reviewer wrote it correctly :)

Festwca, without a doubt, you're mistaken, plain and simple. So, are you comparing SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE to Blink182? No, because you brought up punk-pop... in my opinion, it's better that people speak only when they know what to say...

hardcore is another label, just like emocore and like the millions of labels of various music genres that exist... I don’t understand why you are so against the term emocore.

Just as hardcore exists, so does emocore... alessioIRIDE, why should emocore not exist and be nonsense while hardcore does? Couldn't it have just been called punk too? "emo" stands for emotional, emotional music; bands like Rites of Spring, You and I, Hot Cross have always played hardcore in my opinion.. emo (not emocore), in my view, can be found in bands like Get Up Kids, Sunny Day Real Estate, Texas Is the Reason, etc...

First of all, it depends on what type of emo you mean... by now it's too vast a genre to be limited to just one group... anyway, I think it's the lyrics that characterize and differentiate an emo band from an old school band primarily... and secondly, also the music... darker, more introspective, and above all (personal opinion) more beautiful ;)

@AlessioIRIDE: Hey, but even if I review the great Fugazi, is that okay with you?? XD Anyway, emocore stands for emotional hardcore, a subgenre of hc punk.. what is it that you don't understand?
