Edda Semper Biot
Voto:
The album is deep, heartfelt, inspired, but undeniably heavy.
Not recommended for anyone going through a rough patch.
At times, it can be really annoying.
Blue Cheer Vincebus Eruptum

White Lies To Lose My Life

Original as a Zucchero cover band and lacking talent, the lyrics are pathetic. Sure, a couple of songs are nice, but Eros Ramazzotti has also written a couple of nice songs.
Foo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace

The thing that convinces me the least about the album is the sound; it feels hazy, blurry, lacking depth. The album revolves around 3-4 substantial tracks, while the rest is around a 6-.

Great album. Camel's music is pedagogical prog, bright, perfect to show to children.
Mario Venuti Recidivo
Voto:
Venuti, a good Italian pop artist, should be played more on the radio. The lyrics may not be the strong point of the album, but overall the proposal is valid and certainly enjoyable. It's worth mentioning that the issue of lyrics is one of the obsessions of a certain type of Italian, who is foreign-loving and ignorant, expecting top-level lyrics from their native authors while granting any nonsense to foreigners because "who cares, it's English." This is called foreign-loving. In comparison, I notice that very few complain about lyrics like Hello, Goodbye by the Beatles or Speed Of Sound ("the little birds fly at the speed of light") by Coldplay. I truly feel sorry for an Italian artist because a shitty audience like the Italian one is unique in the world.
Keep it up, Mario!
Niccolò Fabi Solo Un Uomo

Well done, Niccolò, great album, his best in my opinion. Artists like him struggle to access the mainstream these days, and the tragedy is that they are ignored even by webzines like Ondarock, which could inform Italians that, without having to dig into the basements, there are better artists than Ramazzotti and Pausini. The difference between him and a Bersani lies in the fact that Niccolò doesn’t neglect the music, a bad habit of certain Italian singer-songwriters. Words and music of a good level.
The Fiery Furnaces Gallowbird's Bark
Voto:
Great review even if a bit wordy and a pretty good album. The Fiery Furnaces have talent. Unfortunately, some people here have posted comments suggesting they either haven’t listened to the album or did so halfway. A band that reinterprets references in an original, quirky, fun, and creative way. One of the best groups of the decade.
Yo La Tengo Popular Songs

It doesn’t add anything to their career, it’s just their umpteenth nice album. The first part is more pop with delightful episodes, including a tribute to Motown, and the second is more "experimental" featuring a The Fireside that deserves applause. Well done, Yo.
