Congratulations Bleak, great review.
In my opinion, it’s not inferior to the debut; in fact, sometimes I think I even like it more.

A record with a bit too much filler; otherwise, it could have been quite good.

A stunning and infinitely underrated record.
One of the first I bought, so it has an added value for me.
Let's say it was the first of a long series; once I got this one, I started buying them in quick succession. Luckily, then came the era of burning CDs, otherwise I would have ended up broke, ahahah (although I always try to have the originals of the records I love the most).
Highly recommended.

It was talked about a lot as one of the albums of the year in 2001 (I believe it even won a Grammy, but that hardly matters) so I let myself be influenced and bought it, and at first I said, “oh well, is this supposed to be the big album by Ryan Adams?” Then, as I told you, after a few months I gave it a second chance and found that there were 4 or 5 really good songs, and gradually I started to appreciate almost all of them, but not because I forced myself to like it like some people do, no, it just won me over slowly. If I had to rate it from a critical standpoint, I would say: 7-- If I had to say how much I like it, 9. So I averaged it out and gave it 4 stars; it doesn’t seem scandalous to me.

I'm glad to hear your conciliatory tone; I'm a laid-back person and I don't want to bother anyone.
Well, your intervention doesn't show that you're a Nazi-fan of the Beatles, but I'm convinced that for some, it's not an entirely incorrect definition. I apologize to you, but there are indeed Nazi-fans of the Beatles out there.
Unfolding, I don't know what to tell you, except that this album was given to me as a gift, and after the first listen, I would have burned it.
Then after a while, I pulled it out of the dust, and it captivated me more and more.
Yes, for me, La Cienega Just Smiled rivals Magnolia, and different people I've recommended it to still thank me.

Nice review.
Great album, the pinnacle, in the studio, of the Dead. The score wouldn't be a full 5, but we're happy to give it.

Nice, not pompous, not the best of Jeff.
In my opinion, it doesn’t sound that outdated.
Television Adventure

Beautiful review. The last sentence in particular struck me, when you say it always feels like you’re hearing them for the first time. The music of Television is infused with a vein of neurasthenic frenzy that makes it almost "alive," so that with each listen both this and Marquee Moon seem forever fresh. It is not inferior to the first and perhaps has superior lyrics. I may be biased, but for me, it’s a magnificent album.
