Dolcenera Dolcenera nel paese delle meraviglie

What is sad is that probably 70% of those present didn't even listen to it. This Dolcenera album is a concept about love; it doesn't mean she abandoned her commitment. The only choice I believe she made for commercial purposes was the change in look, but that doesn't seem like anything serious to me. In fact, I found it ridiculous before when she was acting all dark and moody. A lot of trash goes through Sanremo, I totally agree, but something gets saved. Even Luigi Tenco, who was also a victim of Sanremo, was a participant in Sanremo. Subsonica emerged from Sanremo. The song presented by Gazzè last year was a gem, and he is a valuable artist. The piece by Afterhours isn't bad at all. The funny thing is that people who trash Dolcenera might speak well of Alanis Morissette, who, aside from that one album that even she doesn't know how she wrote, has written only crap. The mark left by Page and others is determined by the fact that Page and others are native English speakers. Wake up, it's time. Or do you really believe that if a large part of the music we listen to comes from the UK and the States, it's because they manage to express talents that don’t exist in other parts of the world? I mean... uhaahahaha Sure, in these countries there’s now a kind of know-how in the rock field, but for the rest, the massive spread of Anglo-American music is simply due to the linguistic factor.

Music is listened to, not seen, what does physical appearance have to do with it? It's incredible... I feel in tune with Coolremaster.

Bravo, keep splashing in your love for all things foreign. Grow up a little instead of listening to any rotten crap that comes from the States or the UK and snubbing anything that comes from Italy by default. Dolcenera is not just some Pausini, but an artist who writes her own songs and has a decent talent. Here, the tone is sunny, positive, much more than in the past; the voice is still beautiful and the melodies, while not particularly original, are nonetheless effective and the arrangements are spot on. It’s a decent Italian album to listen to without too many expectations. A couple of interesting lyrics (far less "committed" than in the past), while the rest are just nice sentimental lyrics and nothing more. Best tracks: Date A Cesare, Come Un Sole Splendido. The rating would be a 3.5. P.S.: listen to this album instead of wasting time on insignificant groups like White Lies.

Guys, every time you see the word Spirit, do you really need to bring up the Stairway To Heaven plagiarism of Taurus? Stairway To Heaven is clearly inspired by Taurus, but Page was clever enough to build a suite that ultimately is only related to Taurus. To those who say that the arpeggio of Stairway To Heaven has nothing to do with it, I recommend you go to a guitar master, have it played for you, and ask if they don't sound similar. Your problem is that you believe if Jimmy Page borrowed a bit from Taurus, it diminishes his stature as an artist, but that's not the case. Guys, if you know a bit about music, you realize there's a remarkable "circularity" of ideas among pop and rock artists, and it's not scandalous. Page was skilled in taking Taurus and creating something different with it. Let’s also avoid comparing them by saying that Stairway To Heaven is a whole different thing. Well, it’s normal that Stairway To Heaven conveys a sense of grandeur that Taurus doesn’t, but it’s a comparison between a suite and a two-minute instrumental. They are both masterpieces, and your idol Page is not diminished because he was inspired by Taurus.

Nice, nice, even though I don't particularly love it.
Still a great tune.

Beautiful, beautiful. "Walking Slowly" is my favorite. It takes 3-4 listens to fully absorb it, but then it captures you. Highly recommended.

Real rating: 4.5. Beautiful album, the atmospheric suite Moments In Love is great, it doesn't drive me crazy, but the work is worthy.
