Well, nice review. I have to say you mentioned 3 bands, 2 of which I quite like (Down and High on Fire). Converge, on the other hand, don't exactly play the genre I prefer. I had half-listened to the album "Heavy drunk doom", but they didn’t impress me enough. However, if this album, as you say, "touches peaks of rot that sink deep into sludge and the most tarry heavy of Down," I'll definitely give them another shot. Ps: I like the "Mastodon" album by Baroness; it may not be a masterpiece, but it's melodic and powerful and holds up well so far. I've only listened to the one by Fu once so far... so I’ll hold off on that. Cheers.

Among the lyrical themes addressed by the Mozergush, the Zanichelli Encyclopedia of Metal mentions: "Drugs," "Girls," "Dreams," "Illusions," "Space." Putting aside for a moment the pussy, dreams, illusions, and space, could it be that for most Stoner/Doom/Sludge bands, the "minimum" (?!?) common denominator is always the Zrdoga? The answer, dear viewers, is "YES."

Anyway, before the old geezers, Tommy Emmanuel played, and I didn't even know who the hell he was before. Damn, he pulled off some unbelievable virtuoso moves, like Cristiano Ronaldo (but with the guitar, of course). Really impressive, Tommy, a guitarist with balls of steel. Sorry for the digression, Frank. Bye.

I was also there watching these old geezers at the Pistoia Contributi Inps Festiv... oh sorry, at the Pistoia Blues Festival. Long live Riccardo Moltonero anyway, even if he’s stepped back to do some half-assed nonsense with his wife. But he remains my favorite. Forever and ever. AMEN.

Good job, Fosca. My last fm expired a couple of months ago, so I've completely abandoned it for now. Actually, while I'm at it, I would like to ask something about Gabriella Kosmica, but not here since it seems awkward to talk about our own stuff. Give me a sign, Gabri, and I'll send you a private message.
