I saw the video that Hell posted the other day damn, just the fact that they made this piece makes me want to tell you to fuck off even more! The setlist wasn't bad though.. all killer tracks. Don’t complain, maybe if they played "A sun that never sets" you would’ve been petrified like mummies (that effect happens to me everywhere). PS: do you know anything about the new album? PPS: in October the Melvins are coming to Rome, and this time you should grab them for real. PPPS: I love you, terrone.

Two weeks ago, I went to see "The Watch," their cover band. They played everything and I would say they did it well. Before the concert, I knew very little about them (I prefer other prog bands), but now I've caught up a bit...

Well, basically these guys have followed more or less the same path as the RHCP: from crossover to Neapolitan-pop-piezz'e core. The same path has also been taken by Jo Donatello, GIGGIONE's son.

Barty, you're at the crossroads of Enrico Ruggeri: "Thrash-metal or Sludge-metal"? Make up your mind, for fuck's sake. :-)

The average metalhead, I don't believe wants to evolve anyway. The average metalhead is satisfied because Metallica has released the so-called "old tracks." I don't think the average metalhead really cares too much about generational turnover, Barty! Metalheads boast about listening to metal, then along come some pretty angry bands from Hardcore (think Neurosis, Isis, the same Mastodon) and the comparison with the "stuff that the average metalhead listens to" ends miserably. Thank goodness I'm a neomelodic guy who primarily listens to music from Forcella.

Nes, I wasn't referring to a possible comparison between Neurosis and Slayer, but rather to a current comparison between Neurosis and Metallica, simply stating that if I were asked who to go see, I'd place my bet on Neurosis. By the way, Von Till is quite a handsome guy, huh: Ingrandisci questa immagine I also believe that no one has been born yet who can kick the ass of these guys: but hey, that's a matter of taste.

Jurix, let me ask you out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the ticket? No, because some of my friends went and I remember they told me the price was around 60-65 euros. Unless I have Led Zeppelin with Bonzo rigorously resurrected playing in my garage, I would never spend that amount for a concert. And with these Metallica again, what a drag. Damn, metal has evolved in the meantime, right? Neurosis would piss on these guys and send them home packing. The moral is: when the hell are they retiring?

This guy was out there like a mine (not the singer). I listened to another work of his with other crazy people (a certain Mr. Speed and another guy who I think called himself "Glue"), and I remember it was very drugged up Thanks for the tip, I'm going to track it down.

A couple of days ago I caught them on custom chart under sludge metal/atmospheric sludge metal. What can I say, I really like the genre, if it weren't July 8th and these days I prefer more "fun" stuff, I'd give it a more serious listen. Anyway, I listened to this: and in terms of sound, they really remind me of my six friends from Oakland. Thoughtful review, you deserve a reward.
