Sure, the alternative/indie label made me snub this girl for a while. I listened to it just once and I liked it a lot, maybe even album of the year at the moment. Go Chelsea.

I started following him from the first album (great). And I will never stop saying that this guy writes (listen to "Il corpo del reato") and samples like a god. This DIE is great too; tracks like "Stormi," "Tanca," "Buio," and especially "Mandria" (my favorite) are above the threshold of standard (and mediocre) Italian songwriting. I mean, what songwriting, it took him five years to make it and the results are rightly noticeable. Album of the year in Italy.

Oh damn, I almost lost it... I quote Barty upstairs. Take that!

Perhaps we can agree that they are the ones who have learned the most from Mr. Tony Iommi's Sabbathian lesson (even if they are not derivative), but find me another group that "mortifies" the Master's riffs so brutally that in comparison, the Sabbaths seem like pop music. For me, the only true heirs of Ozzy's band are them. Having made this premise, they haven't missed a record since '95 (the lightest one seems to me to be Black Masses). It skyrockets into my personal Top 3 of Wizard: "Let us prey" (oh my!). Unbeatable "Come my fanatics." Applause for the reviewer as always.

Maroooon, it’s been ages since I read something of yours on these pages... welcome back. I haven’t listened to the album yet, but I think I will soon... what did you think of the latest from Aphex? I really liked it, I put it at the top of my 2014 listens. Let me know!

I quote glasses up here. Also for me among the top listens of this year. Super review. Beautiful for Dario.

Much more melodic than the previous ones, but it's good and then there's this piece that really pumps me up
Mogwai Rave Tapes

Damn, I think I’m among the few who weren’t aware of this email. For now, I’ve listened to the 2 singles, and I have to say that I like them. Today I’ll listen to the rest… anyway, as every year that respects itself, the new Mogwai is never missing. Great review, I’ll come back for the album rating…

After a series of albums with Big Business (A Senile Animal above all), I was thinking of a new reinvention of Buzzo and company, but apparently they've taken a step back. In fact, the choice to have Crover on drums... erm, on the skins, seems quite pointless to me. The last great album they made remains "Nude with Boots" (the subsequent ones haven't really caught my attention). Anyway, I still need to give that one another listen.
