Riverside Out Of Myself
Voto:
I'm listening to Indukti, it's really a great album! The combination of instruments like the violin or harp with "traditional" ones is fantastic. I absolutely need to have it!
Wuthering Heights Far From The Madding Crowd
Voto:
So I suggest you start with the previous "To Travel For Evermore", maybe the most easily digestible! Bye!
PS: if you loved Pink Floyd and want to listen to something "similar", check out my review on Riverside!

I listened to the samples, not bad, especially the second one, though I prefer sounds closer to prog rock rather than new age or psychedelia. Anyway, interesting!

I know Pinkmoon (I live nearby). Also, Revolver (always around Marconi) isn't bad, but lately they're losing their touch. I think online shopping is the best option now... I wonder why artists of the caliber of Riverside (just to make an example) are always the least known... I believe this music should be more accessible to everyone, but have you seen how few people know about this band?

I pretty much have the entire discography of Porcupine Tree, and I prefer In Absentia and Stupid Dream the most. I also have the Anathema albums, although I need to listen to them more... anyway, thanks for the recommendations!
P.S.: I'm also from Rome, do you know any specialized stores?
Yngwie Malmsteen Fire And Ice
Voto:
Maybe it’s the Malmsteen album I appreciate the most (along with the Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar). The instrumental tracks are very beautiful, especially Leviathan.

I don't read the review, but I give you 5 for the name!

I like both, the second one is a bit more aggressive than the first, but I read in an interview with Piotr Grudzinsk that this largely depends on the theme addressed, which is different from that of the first album; they practically wanted to convey other types of emotions. The style, however, remains unmistakable.
X Logic: it's true, if only there were more like them! In fact, if you find anything similar, don't hesitate to let me know! I'm also gearing up for the Pineapple Thief. Right now I'm listening to Indukti, really interesting! The hard part is finding their CDs!

Have you listened to the latest from Riverside? It's called "Voices In My Head" and unfortunately, it's a bit short—5 original tracks and 3 live pieces (I would dare to say) of excellent quality. Not bad at all.
I'm getting ready for Indukti...
Ryuichi Sakamoto & David Byrne The Last Emperor (soundtrack)
Voto:
I have always appreciated Ryuichi Sakamoto, but I have never listened to the album in question! However, from what I remember of the film (which I saw many years ago), the music paired wonderfully with the visuals.
