Esbjörn Svensson Trio Strange Place for Snow
Voto:
I am taking small steps closer to the world of Jazz, which I had unfortunately snubbed until a few months ago, discovering many hidden gems, true masterpieces. I listened to Svensson's "Viaticum" with great joy; I don't know this album yet but it's on my list for future listens, and if past experiences are anything to go by, it will also be one of my next purchases!

Setting aside the musical aspect (what else is there to add? :-D), I regret to admit that the lyrics of the song "italiano medio" reflect quite accurately the situation of our beautiful country.
Soft Machine Fourth/Fifth

The Canterbury scene is full of masterpieces...I really liked Third by the Soft Machine, but I still have to listen to this one. Congratulations, great review!

This album captivated me from the very first notes... when you talk about the magic of music!
Renaissance Scheherazade and Other Stories

The more I listen to it, the more I like it! Today I got Prologue...I must say, not bad at all!

Listened to today... I quote Pibroch in his first comment... the instrumental parts are very captivating, the voice might be a bit too particular, you either love it or it turns out to be irritating (something I still haven't figured out). Definitely worth a re-listen!
Porcupine Tree Fear of the Blank Planet
Voto:
I know I'm going against the grain, but I prefer the latest works of Porcupine Tree (in my opinion, "In Absentia" is a masterpiece)....for me, this is a really great album. I really enjoy the fusion of "Sentimental" with "Trains."

Great! Bukowskian as always! I don’t quite agree with your judgment on the album... but how can I not agree with you on the purgative effect of Libero?
Renaissance Ashes Are Burning

I have listened to and loved Scheherazade, but I’m still missing this... I will make up for it! Well done Pibroch.
