I agree with sfascia that the definition is wrong. In fact, I also consider them among the fundamental bands. However, I don't agree with the idea that they wouldn't be "thrash tout court." The spirit is always a hundred percent thrash, even when the "punk and heavy" influences were more prominent. This is something that, at times, is lacking in those who are otherwise considered the epitome of thrash musically.
