HONEY BADGER: The honey badger prefers savannah and forest habitats; it is absent in extremely arid or extremely humid regions. Although it is omnivorous, it is primarily a predator, feeding on small mammals, eggs, insects, reptiles (including venomous snakes like mambas or cobras), or even small antelopes. It also possesses a resistance to venom; in fact, after being bitten by a snake, the animal does not succumb to death but instead sleeps for about two hours, after which it regains consciousness and continues hunting.
