"The big brick," as some enlightened user above defined it, has captivated me. Seductive voice, poetic lyrics, and truly original arrangements, with rarefied baroque atmospheres that seem to be the result of an educated musical search rather than a pretentious experiment. A pair of five.

I don't like to tear apart reviews, but I absolutely love this album and you’ve just thrown down two or three lines to be ashamed of (what about that one about the birds?). The Eeels are indeed "Le anguille." According to some sources, the name was chosen by Mr. E (Mark Everett) so that the band's albums would be in alphabetical order right after his solo ones. Hope it helps.
