Well, the discussion about Carlo Pedersoli / Bud Spencer is much more complex than one might imagine. To this day, the best thing I have read about it is a magnificent biographical interview published a few years ago in Cine'70, from which the figure of Carlo Pedersoli emerges as a true giant of humanity.
As for cinema: Pedersoli stated that his enormous success (first as a duo with Terence Hill and then solo) was entirely based on the fact that he had always played the same character, a simple, direct, and human character that people had become attached to. It seems to me a disarming analysis in its intellectual honesty and fully centered from an artistic point of view.
Regarding South America: Pedersoli lived in South America for a long time, and it is no coincidence that many of their films are set in that fantastic (and terrible) continent.
Artistic issue: the films of the Hill/Spencer duo are still absolutely underrated (only in Italy, since in countries like France and Germany our dynamic duo has been awarded the highest national honors for artistic merits...). Even today, aside from the obvious naiveté of films of that genre, they demonstrate traits of genius and political incorrectness that are nothing short of exceptional.
Ah, I almost forgot: Poletti is an absolute human case!

Alright, from today it's a sure thing: Starblazer is a fake. I thought it was a human case but no, it's not possible; only the direction of a criminal like Dottoz Zero from Fantaman could think and write such things. By the way, I also have a doubt: where the hell do you find the time to write all these reviews? (all terrible, by the way...)

I recently rewatched Who Framed Roger Rabbit and I found it to be a wonderful film. There's no denying it; in its own way, it made history.

I fully agree with S4Doll. At this point, it seems clear to me that Poletti hasn't understood the concept of criticism at all. But maybe it was just me who doubted it...

Sure, Fellini is studied in film studies, but if the measure of a person's importance is the fact that they are studied in schools, then what do we want to say about Hitler? He is studied in all the schools of the world... :D

A film that has marked a generation, there's no denying it. Poletti, a piece of advice: the average rating on Debaser means nothing, it's just the opinion of the many people who hang around this community. So it's pointless to complain that this has less than that, that Fellini, that Orson Welles, that my grandfather... One of the primary values of criticism is to understand the differences, and consequently evaluate films differently based on those fundamental differences. Unfortunately, you haven't grasped this (and like you, unfortunately, a good part of the official critiquing world).

A pretentious and deliberately off-the-wall review (for the sake of wanting to play the artist). The album speaks for itself.

ok, it's a fake. For a microsecond I even thought it was a real person... he he he...

Reviewing an album so important for the history of music in this way is almost an insult, but it is what it is; nowadays, we are truly used to seeing and hearing everything.
