“Demenziale” means everything and nothing, in the sense that it’s a term which, when applied to music, has a very varied meaning (see also on Wikipedia, the first source that comes to mind: Rock demenziale) - Wikipedia Let’s say that maybe I expressed myself poorly earlier, in the sense that there is an “intelligent” demenziale (like, for example, Zappa) and a “stupid” demenziale that is more self-referential (like Skiantos).

I agree that it’s an anti-militarist song, but the tone is overtly nonsensical.

Every time I have had the chance to reread it, I have been left speechless by the beauty and the incredible amount of truth it contains. A masterpiece.

Some of their lyrics can be absurd, of course, but I can't agree with defining them as an absurd group. And reggae has nothing to do with it (a genre that, by the way, has never convinced me). I'm talking about a 360° analysis of their lyrics. It's like saying Vasco is an absurd singer because he wrote "I like you because you're a slut" or "we're not Americans." Yes, they have written some songs with absurd lyrics, but they are not an absurd band.

To define Pitura Freska as "crazy" is a true nonsense. They are undoubtedly a great band, with all the limitations of being a local reality, but this was a well-defined artistic choice. Some of their songs, listened to today, even seem prophetic. Truly magnificent, even in their mistakes.

Nice book, although overrated. A very heartfelt review, it's a shame that it's anything but a review (that's why my rating is low).
Art Spiegelman Maus (Maus, A Survivor's Tale)
Voto:
A masterpiece, no doubt about it. I would like to emphasize, however, that it is one of the greatest declarations of love from a man to a father, despite all the flaws and limitations that this may entail. A true heart laid bare, often in an extremely painful manner. I believe that the true focal point of Maus is, more than the theme of the Holocaust—which remains very important—the relationship between a man and his father, a painful yet utterly human bond. Absolutely a must-read.

That tour was amazing: I had the fortune of seeing the Purple for the first time in Forlì in '93 and I was blown away. Experiencing Blackmore live is an unforgettable experience that makes you realize he is truly on another planet compared to 99% of the guitarists around. As for Gillan, just forget it; he is one of the four or five greatest singers of all time. He has an ability to convey emotions to those who listen to him live like no one else, just look at how much fun he still has being on stage today. Then the voice comes and goes (mostly goes, considering he continues to smoke 2 packs a day and drink like a madman), but he remains number one. In short, the Purple have been the best live band on the planet, and even now attending one of their concerts is tons of fun as well as very exciting.
