Supreme Dicks The Emotional Plague
Voto:
Great Zigghio regardless! Because you commented on an album that I thought nobody would comment on! Instead, I’m really pleased that you know it. For me, it’s among the top 10 albums of the 90s, and the adjective "brilliant" is truly fitting. In my opinion, they have little in common with Slowdive; they lack the long walls of guitar typical of shoegazing, as well as the Red House Painters. They are much more avant-garde and definitely UNIQUE. There, that's the most accurate adjective. My reaction was to the uproar that erupted over the Pink Floyd. Damn, I’m not disputing their sociological and epochal value, but I thought: over 150 comments in a day, is it possible that the Supreme don't deserve at least 50? I know it doesn't relate, sorry for the rant but understand me, I have a fever of 39 degrees :-)

The Wire, although fairly well-known, are not remembered as they should be. Among the top 3 bands of the entire 80s.

Anyway, it's true, we're not hypocrites, you go dancing because there are girls, and if they give you the chance, you would even dance to Peppino Di Capri.

Thanks! Anyway, if you like the genre and happen to come across the album, give it a thought, trust me.
Depeche Mode Music For The Masses

X ZION: indeed, it's nonsense to say that it's subtle because it has little of new-wave, viewing it as a flaw. I didn't mean to say that. I simply meant that in terms of sounds, arrangements, and especially philosophy, it has little of new-wave, contrary to what Qzerty claimed. That's all, opinions.

What do you want to say, Hal?
Depeche Mode Music For The Masses
Voto:
Be careful with the ratings... this album absolutely doesn’t deserve a 5. It’s a decent album, but nothing more. If we talk about what it meant, that's another story. It has little or nothing to do with new wave, while it has a lot of synth-pop elements. It had good commercial success, but I wouldn’t say it’s one of the happiest episodes in the Depeche discography.
Duran Duran Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)
Voto:
Innuendo, it's you who shot judgments. Speak for yourself. If you really know new wave, you can't tell me that Duran Duran were one of the best bands of the era. I agree with you when you say that sometimes they are evaluated based on hearsay or aesthetic reasons. They are a good band that made an album which, regardless of its "musical" merits, represented a manifesto of the 80s: Rio. But to go from that to saying they are a great band is a big leap.
Ludovico Einaudi I Giorni
Voto:
No no.. in my opinion Tiersen-Einaudi 3-0. This is good when you bring a girl home and you tell her: listen to this pianist. And she'll respond: he's wonderful! And you'll say: well, let's not get into it... otherwise I'll unleash a storm, then you'll accuse me of misogyny :-)
