Sorry for the mistakes.

Well, calling the experimentation present in Reproduction astonishing seems to me at least excessive. Even ten years ahead. Hmm... I still believe this is a decent album, but too, too ambitious. They've pushed themselves where their abilities couldn't reach. In my opinion, Dare is much more successful. An album can't be better just because it's more "experimental" than another. Compared to other contemporaneous works (of true experimentation), this album pales.

But this must be awesome! Too bad about the budget. And then look, Banfi has been known for years in the underground scene as a fine experimenter of ambient sounds with slight post-rock openings.

Socrates, look, I said emblem from a COMMERCIAL and POPULAR standpoint. I know the 80s weren't just that... I just think that, for better or worse, it marked an era. I didn’t say it marked the history of rock. No offense, okay?
Dear Bogus, I also have Reproduction. Well, in my opinion, this one is better. Reproduction is just more "ambitious" than this, which in my view is different. In its genre, in simple terms, this album ranks better than Reproduction, which, as you well know, has a very different sound. But I find it too pretentious. It’s like saying: Human League should stick to this, because on the more "elitist" side they really get beaten up, and come out dead compared to their contemporaries.

Kosmo, you are always too kind to me, I really mean it. Thank you once and for all for your esteem.

Well Simon, ajeje is not entirely wrong. Unfortunately, like it or not, references are necessary. It's true that we shouldn't "reduce everything," but influences, the period, and resemblances need to be explored to describe the sound more thoroughly.

Guys, I know you all do this for FREE and out of PASSION (like me, by the way), but my comment was meant to be playful. Odra, do you think I should do it less? :-) This is truly a nice CD, the availability is decent (as you may have understood, many things I review unfortunately don't have great availability, which, without hypocrisy, also adds to the charm). If you happen to find it, definitely grab it, trust me. If you like the references I've mentioned, you're good to go.

What a mess, guys! You tell me like this, in front of everyone? Dirty laundry should be washed at home! I'll try to take care of it...

Thank you for the compliments ajeje, but regarding "In My Garden," it’s true that I described it as a delicate lullaby, but if you read carefully, I also wrote, "A bewildering and indefinable piece, from a paradisiacal landscape on which A SENSE OF IMMINENT TRAGEDY CAN BE PERCEIVED, it almost feels like listening to more sinister and anguished Popol Vuh." Anyway, it's truly a great album; we agree on that.
