Then you know what I think. I believe everyone is biased (in the opposite way) on taboo subjects (in the music scene) like MTV, radio, and reunions. MTV MUST ONLY GIVE TRASH AT ALL COSTS. That's not true. Just look at brand:new or superrock (I don't know if they still do it): that’s where I discovered Edguy, Sentenced, Lacuna Coil, Death SS, and Cradle of Filth. The radio: this is true. Now that ROCKFM is dead, there’s really not much out there. And not everything about reunions is crap. Just think of Extreme (good album) and Audioslave. For the purposes of the review, however, mentioning reunions is not a sign of good taste and knowledge, but of poor application and objectivity.

I completely disagree and I don't even respect the opinion. Enough with the fake critics citing reunions. Even stones know these things, so just review the work and THAT'S IT. "Reunions are often bizarre and risky commercial ploys or desperate attempts to revive one's career... well, that's exactly the case with Richard Ashcroft and his reformed The Verve." - As if to say: "Guys, look, reunions piss me off, so I'm already taking off 1/2 points." What great objectivity. ONE in the review.

I partly agree with LUX because they have always relied solely on singles. Leaving aside the quality of the singles, you can't buy an album just because there are 2/3 decent if not beautiful songs.

The problem for me is a bit like that of the DT reviewed today by a raving lunatic. Lots of technique and virtuosity, okay. Contamination, okay. But then? The next album will probably be an indigestible mix that will disgust much of the public and they'll end up like Dream Theater: dismissed out of hand. Where are the good old At-the-drive-in?
