Renato Zero: Tregua
CD Audio I have it ★★
Having put aside sequins and glitter, he tries to reinvent himself as a straightforward singer-songwriter with an extremely long double LP which, when it comes down to it, is utterly boring. "Amico" shoots him up the charts, but the rest (including the dreadful "Onda gay") is pure embellishment. Deeply on the decline.
Robbie Williams: Life thru a lens
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
He leaves Take That and proves to have superior talent: pop is his domain, and he hits the mark right away. From the famous ballad "Angels" to the fun of "Let me entertain you," there is more than enough to claim that a star is born. superiore:
Roberto Vecchioni: Blumùn
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Vecchioni from the late '80s and, broadly speaking, the '90s I believe is the best (perhaps even more than the, to this day indigestible, '70s one). "Blumùn" is a caress that never stops moving me: from the title track to "Euridice," from the rustic yet classy fun of "Saggio di danza classica e moderna" to the emotions, honestly never held back, of "Il mago della pioggia." Towards the end it falters (the last two tracks are mediocre), but it’s an album I will continue to be fascinated by. emozionarmi:

Agreed on Vecchioni late '80s-'90s (and even beyond). But I do not agree at all on the "indigestible" Vecchioni of the '70s. Il re non si diverte, Ipertensione, Elisir, Samarcanda, Calabuig stranamore and other incidents, Robinson are for me everything but indigestible...
