SandRock

A live recording derived from sessions not intended for release, but unearthed many years later under the supervision of Bruce himself. The sound is certainly not ultra bright, but the quality of the performance is really very good. The British bassist and singer is in great form, and his band follows him on a journey that often flirts with jazz rock, especially in the longer tracks. The interplay between the musicians is always evident, showcasing skill and taste. I admit I don't know much about JB outside of Cream, except for his collaborations with Robin Trower, and I hope to discover those with Leslie West. I recommend this double album to all lovers not only of the bassist, but also to anyone who wants to enjoy a good moment of rock without too many boundaries.
