Experimental and progressive rock.
Franco Battiato: Sulle corde di Aries

Another prog. Even more beautiful than the previous "Pollution," listed among the most beautiful Italian prog albums.
Franco Battiato: Orizzonti perduti

Wonderful texts, but it's an album without bass, drums, and guitars. Luigi Tonet, at a certain point, inflates them for you.

    9 jun 20
For me, wonderful and that's it. For me, its strength lies precisely in the simple arrangements that highlight the lyrics. This album was supposed to unite the audience around something that concerns Battiato himself, instead it has divided this audience, which focuses too much on the simple arrangements.

    9 jun 20
Yes, but it's a bit flat... you can be "simple" even with classic instruments. Too many synthesizers and samples.

    For me, two.
  • Ditta
    9 jun 20
For me, from a 4... it's true, clearly inferior compared to the albums that marked the transition to pop music, but it’s a great record.

The only flaw is that it remains a bit uneven. Still, better this than the boring Battiato of the late 70s...

Alright, we got it, enough with the notifications now.

Hey @[italianissimo] / @[bacquit] how are you doing?
  • italianissimo

    @[Mauro82] bad, thanks.

    Hello? :(
  • Martello
    9 jun 20
@[italianissimo] two to the master never! I would maybe give two to some of his stuff from the 70s or even to certain other works like Ghali's album (because yes, because Ghali this time made the clams spin).
  • Kism

Just two years after "Lavoce del padrone," both this and especially "L'arca di Noe" are half disappointments. Half because there are a couple of classy moments in both... just a couple, though.

Now my only thought is to understand why this damn debaser doesn't let me modify "orizzoni" into "orizzonti." Damn.

Fabrizz, but instead of creating a separate work, couldn't you define it on the page created specifically for this album? I'm asking.
  • fabriziozizzi

I didn't know yet. I was thinking about listing the albums I own. :( I'm a bit of a mess.

Well, just for the nozzle trilogy you should be elected.

@[italianissimo] do you understand Sardinian? Actually, Baronie dialect? Because I only understand that one..
Ah no, you only understand Italian... since you're from the mainland.. what a pity :( let's go!
Franco Battiato: Mondi lontanissimi

A vintage Battiato, but the masterpiece is yet to come.

Ehhhh and I know which masterpiece is about to arrive. Aahhhh.
Franco Battiato: Fisiognomica

Masterpiece. Airy, Arabic, classical, introspective...
Gang: Fuori dal Controllo

How can you not love the Severini brothers? A straightforward and powerful album. No frills. Sometimes that's what you need.

Revisiting great pieces from the '70s. "Io ti racconto," "Venderò," and "I reduci" among the tracks.
Giorgio Conte: The best of live

Fantastic album recorded under the trullo Sovrano of Alberobello.
Giorgio Conte: Il contestorie

Great album. Ironic and brilliant. Worthy of the brother.
Giorgio Conte: Eccomi quà
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
21 may 20
The lesser-known brother of the international Paolo has grand talents as a chansonnier. Sharp, sometimes more ironic than his brother. "It's a gift from mom" deserves four stars on its own. :))
Giorgio Gaber: Il Teatro Canzone
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
23 may 20
Gaber in the theater. The season is 1991/1992. With his faithful Luporini, songs like boulders: "L'illogica allegria," "Il dilemma," "Le elezioni," "Far finta di essere sani."
Giorgio Gaber: Libertà obbligatoria
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
23 may 20
Gaber in theater. The season is 1976/1977. The texts are written with Sandro Luporini. "The triumphant advance of the American model," the two write, which has rendered the flattening of man in his freedom (mandatory).
Ivan graziani: Ballata per Quattro Stagioni
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
21 may 20
Played with top-tier musicians, it is the work that began to make Ivan known. "La pazza sul fiume," "Il campo della fiera," and "Ballata per quattro stagioni" convey the essence of the genius Graziani well.
Ivan Graziani: I Lupi
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
21 may 20
Pure utopia to marry rock with lyrics (in Italian) and the traditions of the province. But Ivan Graziani succeeded. With this work and with "Agnese dolce Agnese."
Ivan Graziani: Parla tu
Vinile I lack ★★★★★
20 may 20
A truly remarkable live album that showcased Ivan's guitar skills.
Ivan Graziani: Agnese dolce Agnese

“Sweet Agnese” is still today a raft that floats safely in the sea of musical mediocrity in our country.
Ivano Fossati: Time and silence canzoni a raccolta

Great collection enriched by the live version of "Panama."

Album with hard sounds. Excellent musicians.
Ivano Fossati: Goodbye indiana

A record that I love. It has a peculiarity: Ivano plays all the instruments.
  • Ditta
    14 jun 20
Still too immature as far as I'm concerned. With the subsequent "La casa del serpente," however, his poetics begins to solidify more and more.

Fossati is still yet to be discovered. A substantial discography.

You spoke the sacred truth. Among his colleagues, he is the only one who understood when (and how) to step back. The others have only gotten worse.
Ivano Fossati: Panama e dintorni
Vinile I have it ★★★★
14 jun 20
Enough "The construction of a love."
Ivano Fossati: La pianta del tè
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
16 jun 20
Unexpected masterpiece. A Ramos was magnificent. Just the two parts of the plant are enough for the 5 stars.
Ivano Fossati: Discanto
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
20 may 20
Perfect album, "musically" superior. Engaging and demanding lyrics :) with "Lunario di settembre" telling the story of a witchcraft sentence from the seventeenth century and the beautiful "Italiani d'Argentina."
26 may 20
Multi-instrumentalist and author of numerous tracks for other singers. Claudio Lolli contributed to the album.
Lucio Dalla: Gli anni settanta

Double CD collection of the most significant tracks from the seventies.
Lucio Dalla: 1999

Disc with nonexistent sales but give it a listen. Go ahead.
Lucio Dalla: Terra di Gaibola
Vinile I have it ★★★★

Another album without sales. I only need "Il fiume e la città" and "Non sono matto o la capra Elisabetta". Wonderful.

Then Roversi will arrive. You have to mature for sure. :))
Lucio Dalla: Il giorno aveva 5 teste
Vinile I have it ★★★★
16 jun 20
First album with the poet Roberto Roversi. Dalla, grappling with challenging lyrics, experiments with new sounds. It's almost a 5...
Lucio Dalla: Come è profondo il mare
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
16 jun 20
Lucio Dalla starts here to write lyrics as well. From 1977 to 1980, he won't manage to record even a single bad or insignificant song.
Lucio Dalla: Storie di casa mia
Vinile I have it ★★★★★

First Dalla at the top. "The House by the Sea," "Ithaca," "Lucio where are you going" and other stories.
Lucio Dalla: Qui dove il mare luccica

Lucio Primordial live at the end of the sixties. Great voice, "scat" songs accompanied by "Gli Idoli."
Lucio Dalla: Automobili

Always found it embarrassing, just like the next three.. even trying hard, I could never give it more than a 1/1.5. I really feel sorry because I've always loved Dalla so much from the period 71-81 (but I also like the middle phase 83-84 and the declining one (but still inspired) 86-93), but his last fifteen years of career have been embarrassing..
  • Martello
    28 may 20
I wouldn't completely flush it down the toilet; it still has some good things, but it's pretty awful for arrangements.
