Enzo Avitabile: Black tarantella
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Something unrepeatable like having Guccio sing in "Gerardo nuvola 'e povere" or David Crosby in "E a maronn' accumparett' in Africa." Superlative.
Enzo Avitabile: Lotto infinito
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Infinitely true.
Enzo Avitabile: Sacro Sud
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Spiritual journey of Avitabile that begins in the Marianella neighborhood for an inner journey in search of faith. "Crocifixus" encapsulates it all.
Enzo Avitabile: Napoletana
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Unique masterpiece. Unattainable.
Enzo Avitabile: Festa farina e forca
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Once again, an album that brings us to the source of life, to the love for mankind and for the downtrodden humanity.
Enzo Avitabile: Made in Italy
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Historical collection. From "A friend," "Brother soul" to "Colonized."

Don't touch my feeling.
A live monument. The title is LOVE ME AND DEFLATE ME!

By now I was the only one left writing about Enzo, and it wasn’t a pretty sight to see a string of reviews written by this Martello. Now I even have a buddy... it’s always good to write about the Enzone👏

Enzo Jannacci: L'artista
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Posthumous album that encompasses little gems re-sung by Enzo, who wasn’t on his feet but still did a great job. "Il tassì," "Un amore da 50 lire," "Maria me porten via," and others. Moving.
  • Martello
    20 may 20
Goodness, this is Jannacci's last hit. Speechless, wonderful.
Enzo Jannacci: Guarda la fotografia
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
5 stars just for having sung "La fotografia" at the Ariston. Immense.

It's worth it just for that and for the album itself, really; it's absolutely one of his best.
Fabrizio de Andrè: Tutti Morimmo a Stento
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Among the first concept albums. Drugged, exploited, destitute, the last. Desolation of the human condition. "How can I tell my mother that I am afraid? You who listen to me, teach me an alphabet that is different from that of my cowardice." Unattainable.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio de Andrè: Fabrizio de Andrè
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Known also as "The Indian."
Written after the kidnapping, it is a wonderful album. Considered an American rock album and popular Sardinian. De Andrè brings together on two parallel tracks the Native Americans and the Sardinian people, both marginalized.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Le Nuvole
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Another wonderful work that contains perhaps the most violent and powerful song of the Genoese artist, that "domenica delle salme" still very relevant today.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Anime Salve
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Entirely written with Ivano Fossati. The triumph of minorities, the weak, and the oppressed.
Masterpiece.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Rimini
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
The turning point album in music. De Andrè finally starts performing live, and his songs will sound less acoustic. I don’t know if there is a work by Faber under four balls. Cd with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Creuza De Ma
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
One of the greatest masterpieces of our popular music.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: La Buona Novella
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Just "The Testament of Tito" and "Maria in the Carpenter's Workshop" are enough to truly open your eyes and ears.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Storia Di Un Impiegato
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Another milestone of Italian singer-songwriter music. Written with Giuseppe Bentivoglio.
There are no good powers.
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Canzoni
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Transition disk (as the esteemed reviewers put it).
What did they mean?
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Volume 3
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
"The war of Piero," "The ballad of Michè," Marinella, and "The testament."
CD with booklet!
Fabrizio De Andrè: Volume 8
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Some songs written with the prince De Gregori. This is where the fragile friend Faber can be found.
CD with booklet!
Fernanda Pivano said that Fabrizio's verses were better than the original ones...
CD with booklet!
The Zivas-Di Cioccio rhythm was definitely felt. They kept much of those arrangements even in the subsequent tours.
See vol. 1.
Francesco Baccini: Nomi e Cognomi
CD Audio I have it ★★★
"But who is this Antonello Venditti, the one who was everyone's classmate at school?" Prophetic.
  • Martello
    27 may 20
Oh my God, I had this. I remember the song about Venditti, but I've always had a soft spot for those by Curcio and Andreotti (the latter said something like "you're too stupid to live").
  • fabriziozizzi
    27 may 20
"You are too stupid to live" would seem like "Milano e Vincenzo" by Fortis. "Who kissed Cicciolina? Andreottiiiiiii". :)))
  • Martello
    27 may 20
    I don't know, I must be confused.
  • fabriziozizzi

Renato Curcio, however, is really beautiful. I put her on the listening.
Duet album. Featured tracks include "Genova blues" with De Andrè and "Canzone in allegria" with Jannacci.
Beautiful and unripe.
Francesco Guccini: Metropolis
Vinile I have it ★★★
A little mishap along with "Rooms of Everyday Life"

Well, I find Byzantium extraordinarily beautiful, and the lager isn't joking around either.
  • fabriziozizzi
    20 may 20
Well, it's always Guccio and Byzantium; I used to write it from memory on the blackboard at school during substitute classes. :) However, it’s still a notch below "On Love, Death, and Other Nonsense" or "Madame Bovary," "What Cannot Be." I admit that I let myself be somewhat influenced by the divine arrangements of the Musici.
  • Martello

Whether Stanze was a setback is still to be demonstrated.
FRANCESCO GUCCINI: L'isola non trovata
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Master of "La collina," "Il frate," and "Asia."
Francesco Guccini: Due Anni Dopo
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Still sparse arrangements but songs that have made an impact. "Prague Spring," "For When It's Late," "Ophelia," "See Dear."
Francesco Guccini: Radici
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
"Bolognese! Remember: Sting is very good, but keep your Guccini. Someone who managed to write 13 verses about a locomotive can truly write about anything" (Giorgio Gaber).
Album "less felt," as stated by Guccio himself.
  • Martello
    23 jan 21
More universal, but not any less beautiful
Francesco Guccini: Opera buffa
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Grotesque and jovial record. Guccini live at the "Folkstudio" and "Osteria delle dame."
Franco Battiato: La Voce Del Padrone
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Often mistakenly regarded as a simple album, it contains numerous quotes, from the Doors to Dylan, from the poet Fusinato to the philosopher Adorno. Who doesn’t own it?
  • Kism
    9 jun 20
A masterpiece, from start to finish. An Album to be proud of, as Italians!
Franco Battiato: L'era del cinghiale bianco
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
All it would have taken was "The King of the World" and the rest blank. I would have bought it anyway.
  • Ditta
    20 may 20
4 stars is also too little...
Franco Battiato: l'imboscata
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Another innovative work with Sgalambro's texts.
Franco Battiato: L'arca di Noè
File Audio I have it ★★★★
Other experiments with the return of synthesizers... but Donnarumma, Radius, and Golino are holding strong.
  • Kism

Uhm...as I have written several times on these pages, dark and uninspired. Just one classic at the end!
Franco Battiato: Apriti sesamo
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Great innovator. Top record.
