    Trust me, after Modena you didn't miss anything. Just some pale filler and one decent track.

    Almost perfect album. Surely inferior to the great "Sotto Il Segno," but in the end, not by much. Besides "Modena," "Stai Con Me" is also a great song. Then there are "Robin," "Scusa, Devo Andare Via (Un'Altra Canzone)," and "Donna In Bottiglia," which are excellent tracks.
    As for the rest? "Mezzanotte" is not bad, although it's shamelessly copied from "Ma Come Fanno I Marinai"; "Kriminal" is beyond comment, and the title track is musically great but a bit bland.
    Anyway, Venditti has always (or almost always) been at an excellent level until 1984.

    2 stars (rounded up, by the way, not even full) go to "Welcome to Paradise", the only case in the entire discography. The previous ones never drop below 3/3.5, while the subsequent ones don’t exceed a solid 1 (excluding the 3 for "From Skin to Heart").

    The Bitter Fruit was better than this, come on.. Anyway, the previous "Goodbye Novecento" was even worse than both. Title track, "Che tesoro che sei" and "Lula" were embarrassing.

    And instead I say that, of his last period, it's one of the few I really like! (especially in the long version). Of course, those who believe he is "er mejo de Venditti" are wasting their time, but I don't mind it at all. From that album, I would also save "Lacrime di pioggia," the rest can be thrown away.

    "Rain Tears" was perhaps the only one from that album (or supposed album) to have a good lyric (let's not talk about the music). From the "new" Venditti (that is, the one after "Mondo di ladri"), I would only save a couple of excerpts from "Dalla pelle al cuore" in 2007.
