Can I just say that it was my soundtrack of last summer? Leaving aside, of course, the rest of the Beatles' repertoire... It has always been underrated mainly due to the songs already released as historic singles (we're talking about '67); but seen through today's eyes, it turns out to be one of the best in their discography and still enjoyable to listen to. A change in the tracklist and it becomes a beautiful album.

The best of the cockroaches as far as I'm concerned. Along with the white one. I've probably said it 10,000 times...hahaha

I'm glad you appreciate this album :) I'm new, so I'll enjoy reading some reviews about the Beatles from the users of this site :D

I believe it was underestimated because in the UK it was an EP; what we hear today is the only LP from the American discography that has effectively dethroned the original... nothing else has survived, neither 'Hollywood Bowl' nor 'Hey Jude'. Now it is considered an official album in their discography, except by the purists.

I've never been a big fan of this kind of music; it's no coincidence that this is the only album by the Prodigy that I've actually listened to and managed to appreciate.

I can't listen to them, they scare me. I'm easily frightened.

My favorite Tricarico album, objectively, I believe it’s the best. Beautiful songs, great atmosphere it conveys, totally dreamy.

I have it but I haven't delved into it... listened to it only once... thank you for reminding me...

I listened to it too. I particularly like the song he brought to Sanremo, "Vita tranquilla," but the rest is also quite pleasant. It's a work I'm attached to because it was played by Mr. No, a well-known cover band that often hung out in the pubs of my area.

Clarification: the Mr. No played (or still play, if they haven't disbanded) hard rock and heavy metal covers. I meant to say they were hired to play the album, as it presents rock atmospheres (even if quite mild). I wanted to specify because my previous comment wasn't very clear.

Hey, besides Vita Tranquilla, what other track do you like? For me, for example, Un'Altra Possibilità, Eternità, and Cosa Vuoi Adesso.

What you want now is one of my favorites. I can also mention Fili di tutti i colori, Gigliobianco, and Libero (almost punk oriented tracks, in the "commercial" sense of the term), because they are the songs that, as we said, highlight the performance of Mr. No the most, who nevertheless are forced to confront a sound that doesn’t do justice to their real capabilities.

Anyway, I think Tricarico made an excellent choice in changing his musical style by creating compositions with this band... even if it’s not very aligned with Tricarico's sound, as you say. After that sort of flop with Frescobaldo nel recinto, the album Giglio was a real breath of fresh air for his career, but I don’t regret his earlier pseudo-electronic compositions like Io sono Francesco, Il drago (the original, as a single), and La pesca, which already hinted at his future sound.

The most interesting artist of the last 700 years...without exaggerating.
