The first album I bought that introduced me to the band of Mould, Hart, and Norton; a work of unclassifiable magnitude and importance, featuring sonic assaults and more heartfelt and intimate passages like the marvelous "Never Talking To You Again." Truly some incredibly important years.

Yes, but it really pisses me off when, to praise one group, another has to be belittled, as if it were a competition. The Husker Dü in the beginning were as aggressive and messy as the BF ("Land Speed Record") and Black Flag in 1984 were renewing Hardcore just as much as the Husker Dü did with this record (immense). So it's fine to have preferences (I also prefer the Du), but enough with these competitions where one album is exalted to take a jab at a band we can't stand. With everything you could say about Zen Arcade, "Not to mention the Black Flag" seems to me like the bullshit of the century.

I think exactly like you, capital boy. I don’t understand the reason for the attacks on BF, also because you need to define a work and then, in my opinion, you should talk about the album in question; regarding your personal tastes, referring to this point to Moontheloon, I have nothing to object.
