I loved it on CD. When I found the vinyl and listened to it, my life changed. Raw, brutal, and cold. Like Darkthrone in their true essence, pure, icy black. Essential.

Winter is about to return... I'm going to dust off the Darkthorne :D

I don't understand how you can love Darkthrone and, at the same time, the worse Guns (the ones from "Use Your Illusion" I & II).

Robutti, you're right, what can I say, I must be a bit weird. Anyway, the worst Guns albums compared to Use Your Illusion I and II do exist, and they are the current ones (assuming anyone wants to consider them Guns).

Oh well. The last one doesn't even count.

Duff McKagan: Believe In Me
CD Audio I have it ★★★

Duff gives it a try. In some songs he succeeds, in others he fails, but as a first work, Duff shows a certain something that, in the end, at least for me, is convincing. Unripe, but with a certain pleasant aftertaste.

Among the two UYIs, this one is definitely my favorite.
Why? Three reasons: Dust 'N Bones, Bad Obsession, and November Rain. Call me predictable, but November Rain is a masterpiece. On its own, though, it isn't enough to make the album win.
Then there’s Bad Obsession, which is one of the absolute best songs by Guns, and Dust 'N Bones, a wonder in its purest form.

But how can you forget "Don't Damn Me"?
  • EveStradlin

I have mentioned the three that are most meaningful to me; it’s purely a personal matter.
  • Robutti

But "Don't Damn Me" is the pinnacle

She's very beautiful, I absolutely grant you that. But in an album that features Bad Obsession, for me no one can win.
Guns N' Roses: Use Your Illusion II
CD Audio I have it ★★★★

So fine. A song simple in its essence but beautiful. Civil War, 14 years, Yesterdays, Estranged, You could be mine, but especially the alternative lyrics version of Don't Cry (less cloying and more interesting than the famous one). An interesting album, quieter than the first, more reflective, but also introspective.
