UFO: PHENOMENON
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
After two solid albums of blues-oriented space rock, the English group delivers an excellent work from '74, featuring the formidable German guitarist Michael Schenker, former Scorpion. Powerful and well-played hard rock (notably the famous "Doctor Doctor"), great rock songs with acoustic ballads enhanced by superb vocal harmonization. Then there's a great producer, Leo Lyons, former bassist of Ten Years After...

An album that has nothing to envy from the giants of the era, from Master of Reality to Fireball...

An album among the highlights of English rock of the era...

I haven't listened to it in a long time, but I admit I don't have a great passion for the "suite." The songs, on the other hand, are more beautiful than the other. One of their best for sure, though.

The fourth side of the magical square of the 70s English Hard Rock, often underestimated but capable of producing great music. Here at their peak, before drugs and alcohol take over.
