Beardfish: Mammoth
CD Audio I lack ★★★★★
An outstanding work. With Sjoblom on second guitar for most of the time and a piercing saxophonist, Beardfish creates a magnificent, restless, stunningly homogeneous, and never before so rock album. Truly no wrong move. "And the Stone Said" is one of the best progressive suites of the new century.
Sure, a bit cloying and naive as a start, but truly the day is seen from the morning!
Bill Bruford: Feels good to me
CD Audio I lack ★★★★
Great album, Bruford is as surprising and entertaining as always, and the guest musicians are exceptional. One could have dared a bit more, all things considered, given the jazz setting and past prog influences. Many tracks feel a bit too static.

Black Sabbath: Master Of Reality
CD Audio Not intrested ★★★★
The least successful of the initial works, with few ideas and repetitive sections. It remains a great listen only for the caliber of the musicians.

    it's their best album

Why do you say that? The records before and after are much more varied and fresh. Only Into the Void comes close to the previous epics, but in 6 minutes it wears you out.

It's an album that I've never fully appreciated. I've always preferred VOL 4. Thinking about it, there isn't a specific reason; perhaps what you say represents a good part of the criticisms of the album. In my opinion, it's because the first and the second are definitely nicer, and this one doesn't hold up in many ways. Not least in terms of the cover, which feels decidedly rushed.

This is a doom-sludge record from the 70s. I recall there’s a Sweet Leaf, an Into the Void, and an unforgettable Children Of the Grave that are absolutely incredible on their own!

maybe it's what I prefer, of the first 3

For me, it is the best record of a monumental career, with two beautiful acoustic interludes amidst many macabre riffs, plus a gem like Solitude.

Everything is fine, but Embryo lasts 20 seconds!

I prefer those 20 seconds to many discographies, hehe :D

But then you see, it falls into fetishism... if you idolize the Sabbath, okay, this album is great; otherwise, I think a 4 might also suffice, it’s not a terrible grade after all.

I agree with you, it's not that I idolize them, it's just that if I had to choose one, this would be my favorite :)
Blue Öyster Cult: Agents Of Fortune
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Beautiful album of effervescent rock, intriguing yet always elegant and well-crafted.

I must have picked it up at the wrong moment last time because I really don't like it, except for (more than just liking it, I love) "Don't Fear the Reaper."

It is beautiful to be beautiful, but it strays too far from the Hard Rock sounds that had characterized the BOC up until then.

Well, for me, it's the last great album by BOC, at least until Fire of Unknown Origin, the last great gem of the band (Imaginos is "too" eighties for my taste).

Always tightly knit, mysterious, and loaded, but the grace period is a long way off. Stunningly trashy the cover.
