New Wave and Post-Punk influences blend into a melodic, raw yet refined folk-pop maelstrom, producing twelve beautiful little gems. A dazzling debut for the four from Athens. Then there's "Perfect Circle," I mean. 9

Another great album, and we’re the same age...

Magniloquent and classicist, a great album for the prof, perhaps a bit atypical but more mature compared to the previous ones. The title track and "Sabato stelle" are the best of the lot.

In closing of the beautiful trilogy inaugurated a couple of years earlier. The professor here shifts to a greater intimacy from a lyrical point of view: the magnificent final trio ("For an Old Child," "Song for Sergio," but above all "The Last Show") is the most striking example of this. The title track marks his first major success, thanks to the Crazy Horse.

An absolute masterpiece of Italian songwriting. Six magnificent and poetic tracks, the result of an incredibly inspired professor. There it remains, "Tutta la vita in giorno," a fun and charming experiment, but it does not detract at all from the value of the album. History.

Great Syd! This is probably my favorite after Samarcanda, even though I’d give the five stars a bit of a stretch! Elisir is also very nice, but this one surpasses it by a notch, just for the fact that it represents the essence of singer-songwriter music, meaning ubiquitous acoustic guitars and few, bare background ornaments. My favorites are the opener "Irene" (magnificent lyrics), the farcical "I Poeti" (a critical anthem to this particular category of artists, smartly executed with joviality and sweetness), and "Canzonenoznac," a sci-fi political parable played over an amazing keyboard backdrop. And after this analysis... how I want to listen to it again!

For me, it remains the best. :) However, the real masterpiece of this album, in my opinion, is "Pesci nelle orecchie," but the others you mentioned are no joke either.

One of the most memorable works of Italian singer-songwriter music, on par with the previous one. A blend of poetry, literature, and social commitment. 10 gems, each one better than the last. Musically at exceptional levels (just think of "Velazquez," almost a tribute to Neil Young). Arthur Rimbaud.
Absolutely inspired album, it's incredible to think about the string of masterpieces that the professor composed between 1975 and 1982. Here you have all the highest moments, fitting into the varied empyrean of Italian singer-songwriter history. I think of tracks like “Ninni,” “A te,” “Il capolavoro,” “Il Castello” (and here I'll stop, I don't want to list the entire setlist). Super beautiful.
Beautiful, inspired album, one of the best ever. At least three masterpieces: "Mi manchi," "Lettera da Marsala" (the first time I heard it, I almost cried), and "Vorrei." Fabulous cover by Paz.

The title track is not bad at all, and Roland, in his strangeness and "mockery," is very sweet. Uh, and the Sorcerer and the Player <3
Half an anthology of the professor's first repertoire that, although somewhat immature and still "in nuce," contains 3-4 masterpieces ("Luci a San Siro," "Povero ragazzo," "La tua assenza," and the eponymous piece) and a good number of other very beautiful and poetic pieces. The best is yet to come, however.

Great episode, although I prefer all the others from the '70s. It's still a nice feeling, at least for "Archeologia" and "La leggenda di Olaf."

Indispensable. And I’ll tell you why. I find that songs like the ones you mentioned, along with the absolutely stunning 'Farfalla Giapponese' in my opinion, are among the most beautiful songs by the professor. Not all tracks are frame-worthy, but I would definitely mention 'Aiace' as well.

But indeed they are all beautiful pieces, but with Vecchioni (at least the one from this period) you always fish well. :)

Vecchioni's Pop-Wave masterpiece. The stylistic shift of this album is bold, with arrangements diving sharply into the chaos of the ‘80s, yet they remain neither intrusive nor out of place; rather, they are elegant and refined. Once again, there are no flaws; the lyrics reaffirm their excellence, and the music is equally outstanding. Highlighting the album are "Dentro gli occhi," "Sestri Levante," and the magnificent "Parigi (O cara)."
