Artists Only, just for that it's already 5
Talking Heads: Remain in Light
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Crazy album from a rhythmic perspective. I can't always stomach David Byrne's singing style, but it's just a matter of personal taste. Crosseyed and Painless is my favorite track.
The Beatles: Abbey Road
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
My favorite album by the beetles. A perfect record. It may be true that they didn't invent anything and that they were just the megaphone for someone else's inventions, but in my opinion, there are few melodists like the good Mecca. And Lennon is, for me, one of the greatest lyricists in the realm of popular music.
The Beatles: help!
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Better than others more celebrated for me, Lennon in great form: 'Help!', 'You've Got to Hide Your Love Away', 'Ticket to Ride'. And then there's 'Yesterday'. 5

I completely agree!! One of my favorite albums!
The Clash: Live at Shea Stadium
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
The rock contained in this album is beautifully rich and powerful; some might not forgive them for knowing how to play, Topper Headon is missing and there's a bit of roughness from punk, but in my opinion, it remains a blast.

Have you ever heard this concert? Is it better than From Here To Eternity?
  • If you ask me, sbornik, I can't answer you, I don't have "From Here To Eternity," I'll remedy that as soon as possible.
The Police: Outlandos D'Amour
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
There's still some punk in this album that makes it quite special. Personally, I'm crazy about "Next To You," but everything is very nice.

Alongside a year later, Regatta De Blanc, the pinnacle of Police's production; essential, straightforward, sublime in handling the sonic material, with generational songs like the classics "So Lonely" and "Roxanne": Not to mention the rest, with the initially mentioned "Next To You," which is quite an accurate statement of intent... Superb...

    I particularly like "Masoko Tanga."
The Police: Reggatta De Blanc
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
When they did these things, the Police were fantastic. My singer thinks "Message in a Bottle" is crap, and it's the ultimate proof that this is a great album; she has really terrible taste. After Reggatta, I can save only a few songs: "Invisible Sun," "Demolition Man," and "Synchronicity."

Damn those singers. This is a great album, yes yes.

Let’s also say it’s their best.

I like them, but I'll defend the singer: how bad will it be do d do de da da daaa? It sounds like listening to Zucchero at a drunken concert! However, I don't know if it's on this record...

Discone but for me not as much as the first. De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da is in Zenyatta Mondatta, the third.

In reggatta, however, there's their masterpiece (in my opinion) The Bed's Too Big Without You. Played with the bass hundreds of times, one of the first songs I learned years ago. An easy but fun reggae tune!

De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da is a load of crap that, as Rolando says, is part of the next album perfectly in line with the single (which is also a huge load of crap aside from "Don't Stand So Close to Me"). My favorite piece from Reggatta, along with Message, is "Bring on the Night."

Singers should sing, not give musical opinions!

Anyway, among the latest Police, I would especially save King of Pain.

Oh my God, even if Rolando is completely wrong, the first one is very, very good.

I too enter into the heated debate and, not knowing how to read or write, I declare that: when it comes to the Polis, I feel entitled not to throw anything away... with the absolute peak right in this album. Alegar.
The Stooges: Funhouse
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
My favorite among the Stooges. 1970 is one of my all-time favorite tracks.
One of the discoveries made thanks to this site. It felt like being captivated by the geometries of perfect constructions made with Lego, plastic city, and Meccano pieces.
The Who: Live At Hull
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
A bit too similar to "Live at Leeds," but it's always a great pleasure.

Lovely, recorded if I'm not mistaken the night before Leeds, a pleasure to listen to it.
The Who: Who's Next
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Another rock delight from The Who. You can somewhat overlook the silly lyrics of My Wife, but the rest is sublime stuff. For me, Pete Townshend is one of the greatest composers of the last century.
The Who: Live At Leeds
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
but also 10, 100, 1000. Off the charts in every ranking. The version with Tommy's live performance is, for me, the ultimate rock album. In the Rock section, the Zingarelli dictionary should say: "listen to Live at Leeds." It couldn't be more comprehensive.

one of the great "Live" events in history, truly remarkable.
The Who: Quadrophenia
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Most likely, 'Tommy' will never be dethroned in the collective imagination from its position as the rock opera par excellence. For Quadrophenia, different colors are used, perhaps darker ones, but the picture that emerges for me is equally beautiful. The two instrumentals are fabulous.
