full score, masterpiece!
  • The best glam rock album I know, made by a band that cared just the right amount about glam.
That had already split up after four albums of rock blues, due to lack of success and full of debt.
That had been rescued at the last minute by Bowie and gifted the most iconic glam song of all time: "All the Young Dudes."
That had built a fifth album around that song, which finally sold and got them back on an even keel.
That after that fifth album, of course, they had gotten a taste for it and then, albeit reluctantly (especially guitarist Ralphs), they went ahead with this sixth one, even more glam although not entirely: Dylan and the Rolling Stones are still present, albeit in a minor role.
    Masterpiece.

After more than 10 years, they return to the stage... pleasant disco, but the impact is moderate compared to their early days!

After a booming debut, a disappointing album in my opinion. They'll bounce back.

Wow, even disappointing? The first one is great but I consider this one their unmatched masterpiece, then the excellent double live/bsides Hullabaloo, and then for me the first disappointment with them: Absolution.
