"In some part of the world," "Friends never," "Sweet Enrico," "Us," and even "High tide"... come on, this album isn't that bad, at least a 3 deserves it.

I loved the first Venditti way too much... you'll understand.

Me too, but this album has something worthwhile. Then from the next one, it's total deluge.

I fully agree with dsalva; for me, this album represents the beginning of the end. There are a few decent tracks (3-4 acceptable ones), but let's forget about the rest. Better "In questo mondo di ladri," which, for now, remains his last album that manages to exceed mediocrity.

From this album onwards, I started to detest it... if I think about how much I used to like it and the amazing songs he wrote... well.

I like it... it closes a chapter! I remember it from a show that celebrated the recently won World Cup, but I don't recall which track from the album was playing.

I listened to it a lot as a child, so my judgment is biased, but for me, it has its reasons. But why does it have its reasons for me!

I loved Venditti so much, but from now on, enough is enough!

And consider that, apart from Theorius Campus (which he owns half of) and an album from the '80s (perhaps Cuore, the one with Il compleanno di Rocky Rambo and Sting), which I listened to distractedly with my cousin, this is the only album by Venditti that I have listened to in full.

"Maybe Cuore, the one with the birthday of Rocky Rambo and Sting"... you've mixed up 3 things that have nothing to do with each other...

    Harlequin:
Cuore is an album from 1984.
Rocky, Rambo e Sting is a track from 1986 included in Venditti e segreti.
Il compleanno di Cristina is a track from 1988 featured in In questo mondo di ladri.
Which one of these three albums?

Ahahahah... I went to check... it's true! I got confused, but what can you do? I haven't listened to those tapes in 30 years... I believe my cousin had all three of them, but I only vaguely remember something from Cuore and In questo mondo di ladri, while from Venditti e segreti, all that's stuck in my mind is just the title I mentioned. (Of course, apart from the hits blasted by TV and radio non-stop...)

Sorry, but I've never really gotten attached to Venditti. Even the more "social" part of his discography (the '70s) has always seemed a bit forced, a bit cliché to me. There are few songs that I truly loved... except, as I already said, the album Sotto la pioggia, which I listened to often as a child (when I thought about house chores if I heard "scopare bene, scopare bene questa è la prima cosa...").

But just to clarify, I think my cousin told me...

Ah, one last thing: I remembered that "Cristina's Birthday" and "Rocky Rambo and Sting" are two different pieces. The fusion of the two titles was intentionally playful.

@[dsalva] you can get up to "In questo mondo di ladri" (88). Then, we all know how it ended.. today's Venditti, I don't know if it makes me feel more sadness or tenderness.
