    Magnificent. "Caldo e scuro" is, in my opinion, one of his most poignant ("and they asked me questions about my inner life, and in some of my answers, there was your name, while your city was burning under the sun"), while "Il cuoco di Salò," majestic and intense ("fifteen-year-olds devoured by spring, broken shoes that they still have to wear, for here we make Italy and die, on the wrong side, on a great day one dies, on a beautiful sunny day"), and the famous "Sempre e per sempre" perhaps remain his last great classics. A splendid work by a tremendous author.
