PS: I did not take into account Avant-Prog bands like Art Zoyd, Henry Cow, Etron Fou Leloublan... and so on.

Aside from the great, obvious, clear masterpieces, I want to applaud Zarathustra from the Museum, which nobody ever pays attention to and which is a fantastic album for me. And I still see issues with the covers, poor Gentle Giant :(

Then, well, Pawn Hearts, Nursery Cryme, Red, In the Court, Arbeit, etc. All among my absolute favorite albums. Well done.

I would have liked to include other King Crimson albums (like Islands or Larks' Tongues in Aspic), but in the end I gave up because I wanted to keep it around twenty albums, allowing space for as many groups as possible. However, for me, Red is an essential inclusion in a progressive ranking.

"Red" is a must-have on any list of the greatest albums of all time beyond progressive (also because it was so ahead of its time and had such insights that it still sounds incredibly modern even after forty years). At least that's my opinion, you know.
And there, the KC were beyond just simple prog, they were the KC, period. I couldn't say anything more.
