  I have "Bloom" by Night Beat, I don't know this one. I like the one by Yeti Lane, Black Mountain, Ray LaMontagne.

    For me, the Night Beats album is, for now, the record of the year. Let’s say the ranking should be read as a collection of the albums I've preferred so far among those released in 2016, but if I had to choose just one, I’d definitely say the Night Beats. Highly recommended.

    Buzz, if you liked the one by Night Beats (and if you like Night Beats), let me suggest you also the debut album by The Mystery Lights, it's really very good.

    I was convinced I had reviewed them here on Deb, but I hadn’t. I did it here (however in English): MACHCHAPUCHCHARE: Horse Lords - Interventions (Northern Spy Records, April 29, 2016)
    
    In my opinion, they are incredibly talented musicians. As for the genre, I would describe it as art-rock or math-rock, but sometimes they have tendencies that verge almost on West African sounds, making them truly unique. I would categorize them as a bit ‘intellectual,’ definitely avant-garde.

    They vaguely remind me of the sessions by those idiots Parson Sound, with the necessary differences; still, they came to my mind, maybe I'm the only one in the world.

  Incredible record, you can lose yourself in it, never listened to it all together. They might be light years away, but I believe you know how associations of ideas work, maybe a little off the wall.
