My Jerusalem is an American rock band led by Jeff Klein, formed as a project around 2010 in Austin, Texas. Klein, originally from Newburgh, New York, moved to Austin in 1999 and has worked with artists and groups including Ani DiFranco, Ed Harcourt, Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan; he played with the Twilight Singers and toured with the Gutter Twins.

A Little Death was released on Washington Square (as noted in the DeBaser review). Jeff Klein is cited in reviews as the band's primary songwriter and vocalist; the project is described as rooted in rock and blues traditions with noir urban themes.

DeBaser's review by sotomayor presents A Little Death as a richly detailed rock album rooted in blues and city-noir imagery. Jeff Klein is highlighted as a strong songwriter whose work draws on his Austin base and collaborations with established artists. The review praises the album's atmospheres, instrumentation and lyrical focus on urban loneliness.

For:Fans of rock and blues-inflected singer-songwriters; listeners who enjoy noir, urban storytelling in music.

For all these reasons, but also for its incredible beauty and grace, this album, 'A Little Death' (the term the French use to define orgasm, but which Jeff Klein wished to give the meaning of an intermediate phase, as if to imply the end constitutes in this case the achievement of a goal and therefore a necessary condition for a new beginning), is something I want to define as a sort of little miracle as a stupid play of words.
